Platja Capellans - The Capellans Beach of Salou is so named as it used to be within the territory owned by the bishops of Tarragona in the Middle ages. Nowadays it is one of Salou's most poular beaches as it is fairly compact, has good facilities including monitors and red cross centre.   Capellans lies at the Eastern end of Salou so is within easy walking distance of hotels in the Carrer Vendrell area, Playa Park, Salou Park, Calypso, Oasis for example. It is also accessible, as are all Salou's beaches, via the Road Train or buses which link all of Salou.

Currently a new coastal walkway is under construction which will link Salou with it's neigbouring towns of Cambrils and La Pineda. The works are proceeding qucikly (2010) and will not disturb your visit.

You can view the beach on a live webcam at a private website run by a local British person
