The Perot Theatre downtown Texarkana present a wide array of performance arts, from plays to operas to chamber music to orchestras to ballets to comedians to children's perfomances and more. This ornate theatre brings a bit of class to this border town. The outside is nice but the inside is gorgeous in the style of Italian Renaissance with Grecian architecture. The beautiful paintings & gold leav trim cause you to instantly walk a little straighter.

This theatre was built by the Saenger family in 1924 for live entertaiment. The theatre was renamed the Perot Theatre after H. Ross Perot (yes, the once Presidential hopeful) & his sister contributed a large amount of money for the restoration in memory of their parents.

Tickets can range from $6 to $40 depending on the show & the seats you choose. Patrons can be seen wearing formal dresses & tuxs to jeans & tee shirts. Tours of the theatre are also avaliable upon request but you must contact the theatre to arrange an appointment. The theatre is located at 221 Main St., Texarkana, TX. The website is
