Steinhilber's  sets the standard for fine food, good service, and southern hospitality.  There is a lot of seafood on the menu as well as a strong selection of beef and duck, plus weekly specials.  The wine and imported beer lists are impressive as are the desserts and desserts from the bar.  Dress up for Steinys.

Ruth's Chris Steak House is known for very attentive service and fine dining.  You can enjoy steaks, lamp chops, seafood and even vegetarian selections.  Pricey.

Tautog's is not nearly as pricey as the extensive menu, wine and bar list, and dessert selection would suggest.  Dressy casual is preferred although the atmosphere is quite relaxed. 

Zoe's serves some unusual fare including duck, buffalo, prawns in addition to excellent steaks.  Chocolate souffle is a popular  dessert favorite.

Zinc Brasserie boasts a French menu.

Sonoma Wine Bar & Bistro is known for upscale dining, gourmet food, and an extensive wine list. 

Zia Marie on Lookout Road is considered a well-kept secret.  Expect well-executed Italian fare, fresh food, homemade sausage, and delightful desserts served by an attentive staff in a relaxed atmosphere.

Lucky Star on Pleasure House Road is a bit of a drive from the oceanfront, but it offers memorable dining.  If they know it's a special occasion, you might expect a rose at your table and a visit from the chef.  Reservations are a must. 

The Tilted Table in Red Mill Commons is a surprising gem in a strip mall.  Very good food and service.  Not a place for kids.  Booths are curved and cozy.
