Boston By Foot offers walking tours of Boston. Boston is difficult to get around by car or bus so the best way to get to know the city and its history is through a walking tour on foot. Boston By Foot is gimmick-free -- no costumes or shouting in the streets. The groups tend to be small so it is a much more intimate experience as opposed to being on a tour with dozens of people. You get a chance to know your guide, ask questions and stop and take pictures along the way. There are a variety of tours, from those in the North End to The Heart of the Freedom Trail to a specialty children's tour, Boston By Little Feet which is $10 for everyone. Regular admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children (ages 6-12). www.bostonbyfoot.org
