If you are looking for a place to swim or workout in Astoria, look no further than the Astoria Aquatic Center.  This beautiful facility, located right across from the Maritime Museum will provide you or your children many hours of aquatic fun.  There is a cool red slide, a wave pool, lap pool and a therapy tub.  Also many hours of family swim time.

If it’s jogging or bike riding you’re after, the Riverwalk which runs along the Columbia River provides miles of paved paths where you can jog or bike ride with views of the Columbia River and the Astoria-Megler bridge.

For tennis, check out the courts located next to the Peter Pan Market on Niagara where you will find playground equipment and lighted tennis courts for evening play and fun. The courts are free of charge and are offered on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Also, the Tapiola Playground has been newly re-built by volunteers of the community and is a great way to spend some time with your children while in the area.  Fort Clatsop, the Astoria bridge and much more has been replicated in this playground across the street from Youngs Bay. The swimming pool is now a skate park where your kids can enjoy skating in a safe environment.
