One neighborhood is Park Slope. Most of the main social strips are 5th ave and 7th ave. These streets, have amazing restaurants, boutiques for shopping and cool bars with many rear gardens. Some of the great restaurants are Al Di La, Little Dishes, Blue Ribbon and Blue Ribbon Sushi, Belleville, Cocette, Bar Minnow, Canaille Bistro and Applewood. Some of the Bars in the area that are great are Loki, Alchemy, Bar 14, Bar minnow, Gingers, and the Lighhouse Tavern. Transportation to this area can be done in a variety of ways. FIrst the F train to either 4th avenue or 7th avenue puts you on 9th street or the D train to 7th Avenue. You can also take the N, or R to 9th Street. Or at Union Street and 4th ave. The Atlantic Ave-Pacific St. station of many trains will let you out at the corner of Park Slope, walk down Flatbush Ave. to 5th Ave and turn right to head down restaurant row. Most of the younger people stay on 5th avenue while more families are found on 7th avenue. As you get past Union St. and then head over to 7th AVe, this is the heart of brownstone Brooklyn.
