Taking the kids to Hot Springs? Never fear, there are plenty of activities to keep them entertained as well as you will be.

Consider taking the kids to the National Park Aquarium, where your sea lovers will enjoy taking a tour of the largest exhibit of reptiles and fish in Arkansas. A 120-pound snapping turtle, or the poison arrow frogs that live here might entertain the kids. Be sure to tell the snake fans that there are no snakes at this aquarium.

Kids and adults alike will be enchanted by a performance at the Maxwell Blade Theater of Magic, where illusionist Maxwell Blade and his performers put on an extravagant 2-hour Vegas-style magic show that has attracted worldwide attention. The show won’t put a dent in your wallet, either, with adult tickets at $13.50 and children, $8.

Be sure to visit the Tussaud’s Wax Museum. Hot Springs is, after all, the boyhood home(Hope is the birthplace) of former President Bill Clinton and he and Hillary Clinton are featured here, along with depictions of the Last Supper and Princess Diana and Oprah Winfrey. Like most attractions in Hot Springs, this museum is right downtown on Central Street.

If your kids are like most, an amusement park visit is sure to make them happy. In Hot Springs, check out Magic Springs Amusement Park, which was rated one of the top three amusement parks for families in America by Better Homes & Gardens Magazine. This park features thrill rides along with family-friendly rides that all the kids will enjoy. If you’re visiting in the summer, this park features an amphitheater which hosts a variety of big-name musical acts. There’s also a water park here for those hot and steamy days in the South.
