Seward is small and easy to get around without a vehicle. Many of the locals don't own them and take taxis, walk or ride bikes.
The main streets have sidewalks and are wheelchair accessible.
There is a nice paved walking and bike path along the waterfront that connects downtown Seward to the small boat harbor,1.5 miles. It continues on past the lagoon as a boardwalk. An under the road tunnel has been put in just north of Port ave to help prevent road crossing accidents. Paved bike path continues to mile 6.5 Bear Lake.
