Corpus Christi's beautiful Gulf beaches will give Mom, Dad, and the kids ample opportunities to relax, swim, and spend time playing together in the sand.  But when everyone needs a break from the sun, families on vacation Corpus Christi will find plenty of non-beach activities to keep them busy.

Funtrackers family fun center is a mini amusement park that offers bumper boats, a video arcade, mini golf and go carts.  They are open 7 days a week.  See their website for hours and admission prices.

For great family fun in the summer months, April through August, take in a minor league baseball game at Whataburger Field located on the ship channel beneath the Harbor bridge.  Whataburger Field is home to the Corpus Christi Hooks, AA affiliate of the Houston Astros.  The venue has been voted the best minor league ballpark experience in North America.  There are plenty things to do for the kids including rock walls, kids play zone, basketball courts, ballon jumps, and the like.

For families who love nature, The Corpus Christi Botanical Garden and Nature Center is just the thing.  One of the area's top 5 tourist attractions, the Botanical Garden and Nature Center treats visitors to lush floral gardens, native South Texas wildlife habitats, and offers several educational programs for children and adults.

For an experience that kids won't soon forget, Corpus Christi offers the Dolphin Connection.  Here kids are free to meet, greet, interact and even play games with dolphins.  They can see dolphin babies and learn about how the marine mammals live in the wild.  Reservations are recommended as this attraction gets quite busy.  See their website for details.
