The Walla Walla Valley is home to over 100 different wineries and vineyards. Many of these viticulturists also practice sustainable growing and are members of a local group that encourages and practices sustainable viticulture called the Vinea Trust.

Wine tasting in the area can be broked up into five sections:

  • Downtown Tasting Rooms (Easy to walk to, requires no driving and they are very close together)
  • Airport Tasting Rooms (Close to the Port of Walla Walla, these tasting rooms give a more industrial, prodution feel of the wine-making process)
  • South End Wineries (Here you can enjoy grapes on the vines, the look and feel of the vineyard. Many take bike tours through these wineries and pack lunches to enjoy on the estates)
  • Western Estate Vineyards (Here are the larger, estate winereis where tasting room and estate are combined. The wineries include L'Ecole No. 41, Woodward Canyon and Three Rivers Winery)
  • Eastern Wineries (These wineries usual require you to call ahead and schedule a tasting appointment)

Detailed Wine Maps with each winery's information and location are available free at the Tourism Walla Walla Visitor's Center located at 26 E Main Street in Downtown Walla Walla.

This link will take you to the Walla Walla site with a complete winery directory and map as well.  Walla Walla also has its first and only dedicated wine shop, Wild Walla Walla Wine Woman featuring wines of the Walla Walla Valley and the World.

Also, there are many videos on the VisitWallaWalla YouTube channel about various local shops, restaurants and wineries.
