Noja is located between Santoña to the east and Isla to the west.By Car
Noja is in a great location, on the coast, but not far from the A8 Santander-Bilbao motorway. Santander is around 40km / 40 minutes from Noja, and Bilbao around 85km / under 1hr. From the motorway exit at the Gama exit, passing along the N634 to Gama, then along the CA148 towards Argoños, where you pick up the CA141, Noja is signposted off this road. Alternatively, if coming from Somo or abouts, take the CA141 straight from there, past many coastal towns and villages, to Noja.
Noja is well connected to both Santoña and Laredo by bus, with up to 15 buses a day. There are also around 5 buses a day to Santander, more information here, and 4 buses a day direct to Bilbao, more information here.
There is no train station in Noja. The closest FEVE train stations are in Beranga and Gama, with trains to Santander (up to 4 trains a day) and Bilbao (up to 3 trains a day).
There are airports in both Santander, around 35 minutes away, and Bilbao, just over an hour away by car. Both of these are well served by budget airlines from the UK (Ryanair at Santander and Easyjet at Bilbao). There are also buses linking the airports to the relevant bus stations in the cities (see www.transportedecantabria.es for Santander and www.termibus.es for Bilbao). There are no direct buses from either airport to Noja, it is necessary to change at the city centre bus stations.
