Welcome to Ferndene Farm, a little bit of peace and quiet in the Dargle Conservancy Area. We have lots of beautiful space and a very comfortable self-catering home, perfect for large groups of people and families. The 6 bedroom 1940s dolerite stone and thatch farmhouse is settled snugly in the mistbelt forests of the Dargle. Come and relax in the rather expansive acre-large private gardens or use the house as a base for touring the Midlands Meander. We list the house as a unit but also offer a per person rate for smaller groups.

We respectfully request that guests refrain from smoking in the house. Smoking is permitted in the gardens but due to the thatch roof we ask the guests keep well clear of the roof and dispose of cigarettes appropriately.

Lovely old farmhouse tucked away in the Midlands
The location of the house is amazing - nature surrounded with a lovely private garden, a stream where the kids can play and so much more to explore and see.
The house it self is huge with a warm interior old and new perfectly mixed together. Phil and Lindsey, the owner, are lovely people and very helpful! We'll visit again!

Large, luxurious, comfortable, characterful country house
What a bonus to find a beautiful house with 6 double bedrooms! Every room is tastefully decorated and comfortable. Loved the historical photos on the walls and the interesting memorabilia. The garden is pretty and spacious, and the forest walk is highly recommended! There is lots to do in the area if you feel like a drive, or you can enjoy the birds and bushbuck in the garden.
