Holiday Rental House
A large traditionally styled, but modern house set in the beautiful, tranquil valley of Le Bec Hellouin. The centre of the village is only 5 minutes walk, with its beautiful Norman architecture and great places to eat. The local 'green-way' offers beautiful long-distance walks. Canoeing is available on the River Risle - just a few minutes drive. Nearby chateau include Champs de Bataille with its renowned golf course and Chateau d'Harcourt famous for its Arboretum. Honfleur is a short drive away with its habour-side restaurants. The house is set in a large, fully enclosed garden making it an ideal place for children. There is off-road parking for 2 or 3 cars. We continue to invest in the property and have just completely refurbished the en-suite bathroom to offer bath, shower, sink...A large traditionally styled, but modern house set in the beautiful, tranquil valley of Le Bec Hellouin. Great location and for visiting other parts of Normandy, merely 1 1/2hrs to Honfleur, Normandy Beaches or Monet's Garden. There are many interesting Chateau within short distances. Unfortunately the nearby lake was closed because of algae in the water, however it wasn't too difficult to...More

We so enjoyed our stay in this Gite in Le Bec Hellouin. The property is spacious and the owners have equipped it very well - even down to plasters for those little injuries. This village is very picturesque and the Gite is less than 10...More

About the neighbourhood
Every year around mid-July, Le Bec Hellouin has its saint's festival with a village meal, fireworks and a 'foire-a-tout' on the Sunday. The grounds of the abbey of Le Bec are open all year round - guided tours are also available, showing the working of a modern abbey. The 'voie verte' (green way) is long distance footpath linking Le Bec Hellouin and Evreux - great for longer walks or cycling. Brionne is the nearest town, with a large market on Sundays - lots of stalls with wonderful cheese, meat, vegetables and salad. Bernay is slightly further away - a larger town with a hypermarket for those essential wine purchases. The Chateau of Champs de Bataille is a beautiful restored chateau with medieval gardens. The chateau also has a wonderful golf course. The Chateau d'Harcourt has a famous arboretum.
