We're delighted to say that we can also now offer unlimited high-speed fibre broadband to our guests. There is a neat fold-out dining table if you're eating in and the kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need as well as a dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, toaster, oven, gas hob and fridge with a freezing compartment. You will also find there's tea, coffee and milk to welcome you at your journey's end.
There are two bedrooms in the cottage - a master bedroom with a double bed and twin bedroom with two single beds. Both bedrooms are incredibly spacious with good quality furniture. The master bedroom benefits from an en-suite shower room with WC. In addition there is a family bathroom with a bath that has an electric shower over.
Outside the cottage benefits from a private, fenced patio with a sturdy wooden picnic table and garden area - perfect for sitting out and the garden is ideal if you have little ones. There is a private parking space directly outside the cottage, which will accomodate up to two vehicles. There is also plenty of private, outdoor space at the cottage for storing bikes, scooters, surf-boards etc as well as an outside tap and hose for rinsing them down.
The heating in the cottage is by means of gas central heating, the cost of which, as well as the provision of linen and towels, is included in the price. A travel cot and high chair are also available in the cottage, should you require them.
Pets - The owners of Exchange Cottage are always happy to welcome well behaved dogs with responsible owners. There is a box of dog towels if you need them and we would ask that you bring your own throws/blankets if you would like to have your four-legged friends on the sofa for cuddles!
Please note Exchange Cottage is available for short breaks all year round EXCEPT the May half term and summer school holidays.More

Thanks for the feeback Bev. Mattresses are a very subjective thing and the mattress you are referring to already has a lovely new topper on it. I'm really pleased you enjoyed the cottage and the new kitchen...looking forward to welcoming you back soon. John, cosy-retreats.com

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We're delighted you enjoyed your stay. Unfortunately the rubbish bin situation is totally out of our control - we rely on our guests to put the bin out and the council to empty it :) John, cosy-retreats.com

So pleased you enjoyed your stay in our cottage - hope we can welcome you back sometime! Many thanks! John, cosy-retreats.com
Warkworth is a typically charming Northumbrian town, with so much to see and do before you even think of going further afield. Exchange Cottage is perfectly situated for visiting the historic castle and the bustling main street with its independent boutiques, shops, pubs and restaurants is a real treat. Don't forget the stunning beach - part of the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with miles of golden sands. You can do all of that without going anywhere near your car!
There are some excellent links golf courses in the area, the nearest of which can be found at Warkworth Golf Club, just to the north of the town.
There are many walking trails in the area and it is a great place for a bike ride too. The town of Alnwick is a must-see with its famous castle and gar...
