Currently being aired by Channel 4 as part of their 3rd series of A New Life in The Sun, Les Palennes is a 50 acre property, it sits on the top of a small hill on its own, with no immediate neighbours. Originally a working farm, the stone farmhouse and barns have been rejuvenated and renovated sympathetically to allow our guests to relax and unwind in seclusion. Our guests have use of the swimming pool, hot tub , sun loungers and parasols at their leisure and the partially covered pool terrace also has a BBQ, al-fresco eating area, chimeneas and comfortable seating for those summer evenings and cooler autumn nights. Bonne Nuit is a delightful first floor gîte accessed by an external flight of stairs. The accommodation comprises a vaulted open plan kitchen/dining/living area of 6.5m x 4m...Currently being aired by Channel 4 as part of their 3rd series of A New Life in The Sun, Les Palennes is a 50 acre property, it sits on the top of a small hill on its own, with no immediate neighbours. Bonne Nuit is a delightful first floor gîte accessed by an external flight of stairs. The accommodation comprises a vaulted open plan kitchen/dining/living area of 6.5m x 4m, with windows and a Juliet balcony, overlooking the orchard and fields into the distance. There is an oak dining table and chairs in the kitchen area and a sofa, coffee table, and wall mounted TV in the lounge area. The lovely exposed wooden beams are a feature throughout Bonne Nuit. The cosy bedroom, 4m x 2.9 has a vaulted ceiling, and is furnished with a double wardrobe with drawers, bedside tables and a queen sized bed which is positioned to make the most of that early morning coffee in bed watching the wildlife wake up out through the Juliet balcony doors. If you are lucky you may see the numerous cranes that feed in the field outside your windows at certain time of the year. The generous bathroom has a large bath with overhead shower, toilet and washbasin, mirror and heated towel rail. Complimentary towelling slippers and some essential vanity accessories are provided for your added comfort. This gîte does not have direct access to a patio but there is a dedicated garden area with table and chairs which overlooks the orchard and is just a little walk from the external stairs to your front door. Bonne Nuit benefits from central heating making it a cosy hideaway throughout the year.More

Staying with Huard and Ali was wonderful. The quality of the Bonne Nuit Gite was amazing. Beautifully furnished and fitted out. It is in a very peaceful location and was the perfect hideaway for the time we spent there. We highly recommend a visit.

About the neighbourhood
Beautiful, unspoilt countryside, share your surroundings with the wonderful wildlife and birds, from wild deer to birds of prey and the several species of owls that make Les Palennes their home. We are a 5 minute drive from supermarkets, pharmacy, butchers, boulangeries and great restaurants and bars. There are numerous lakes a short drive away, as well as horse riding, go-karting, golf, green lanes for walking or cycling, and fishing is also plentiful.
