Reprise of our 2016 holiday. Everything was perfect and the host was extremely accommodating and helpful

Family gathering for a wedding
Brilliant place to gather 4 families together - wonderful swimming in the harbour and long walks along the coast line. Beautiful part of Scotland

Brilliant stay
All the facilities you need, lots of space, great time had by all. My only complaints would be the dishwaser tab for the tablet was broken, and the sauna had a few bits of wear and tear. small issues thats easy resolved.

Just back from Craiglea and only half an hour from home, a jewel in Caithness, great house and amazing pool area, kids and adults had a blast as did the dogs. Special mention to Mary and Tracy for being very friendly and super helpful

Perfect place for a family fun time together, with loads of room for us all!
This rental was well worth the 632 miles we travelled!! There and back, Weston-Super-Mare to Latheronwheel.
This was a great family holiday home, there were 14 of us all together, the grandchildren absolutely loved the pool, being “in house” they were able to use it as often, early or late as they wanted. There were plenty of pool floats, pool noodles and we had some large floating rings, such fun!
The house is very well equipped, even down to the pastry brush to glaze the home made pies. (I’ve come home and bought myself the same saucepans great quality items)
The garden was large, we played short cricket, kicked around a football, used frisbee’s and joined in with the pebble painting, that was there for the guest to participate in.
The beds were very comfortable, the dining room was large, just like the lounge in the main house. The Barn, was super to get into for a little quiet time if required, we used the washing machines and dryer.
There were fresh eggs left for us in the kitchen, which was a lovely little extra.
All around the holiday home,there were great places to discover, the fairy trail, the little harbours, even the Childrens park in the hamlet.
All in all, the best location, for a great, get away from it all, family fun do as you wish family holiday.
Super speedy, clear and calm dealing’s from the first rental enquiry to the refund of the deposit.

Craig-wow-lea
We went with a group of friends and family and had the entire place to ourselves. The place is tastefully decorated, clean, warm and comfortable. As soon as we walked through the door, we felt at home.
The dining and living area are upstairs, enabling us to enjoy the beautiful view over the grounds and out to sea.
The facilities are first class, and the pool is fabulous.
The location is about a 90 minute drive north of Inverness, a picturesque quiet village with the most spectacular scenery to be viewed in whichever direction you turn.
We stayed for 10 days, and our only regret was having to leave.
Will definitely be going back again and again.

Great Location
Had a lovely time at Craiglea Lodge. Mary who met us was very helpful.
The photos online don't do the premises justice. Very spacious property and the swimming pool is a good size. Some great walks along the cliffs nearby and some lovely beaches up towards Wick.

Perfect place for catching up with friends
the bathrooms and bedrooms were spotless, and very comfortable.. Lots of crockery etc in the kitchen, though the cooker should be upgraded due to being very slow. one settee isn't that comfortable
but the pluses certainly outweigh the negatives, and it is great value for money! And the swimming pool & tray of eggs was a bonus!

Amazing family holiday
Family of 16 spend amazing time in the Craiglea Lodge. Kids didn't want to go back home, Pool and a house very clean, fresh linen and plenty of atraction for everyone. Suprised with lots of games to play, table tennis, kids toys for swimming pool. Lucky with the weather used barbecue and spend plenty of time for walks around. Fully equipped kitchen. We have been touched with friendly people around in the village and fresh farm eggs left for us for breakfast. Mary and Tracy looked after us with outstading, friendly service. We wish to come back again.

Fantastic large property with pool
We recently stayed at Craiglea and it was fantastic! Having read a few previous reviews I had my concerns but on arriving at Latheronwheel none of these were relevant. The property is large and well decorated, all the beds were comfortable and plenty of towels provided for bathrooms and for pool use. The swimming pool was amazing, very warm room with lots of seating space around and speaker system for playing music (although connection was for iPhone only). There was no issues with heating or hot water so showering regardless of time of day was no problem. The main house has 6 lovely bedrooms and the barn is a great separate dwelling.
There was plenty of seating in lounge and dining room and plenty cutlery and crockery in kitchen.
We shopped at butcher who is a few doors down from house, lovely man and very helpful. We also got eggs from local chicken farm which were excellent. The nearest shop is a few miles north in Lybster it is a small Premier express but they had a great variety for a local store. We did a bigger shop at Wick Tesco which is about 20 mins away. The playpark down the road from house was excellent for the kids and they loved the Fairy walk which is near the harbour. There is so much to do outside locally especially places to walk, check out the Whaligo steps we enjoyed it there.
Avi the owner was so helpful with all my questions before we arrived and Mary who met us on arrival was lovely.
Overall we had a fantastic time and will definitely be back as soon as we can.
