The area has been a popular base for artists throughout the years due to the natural, almost Mediterranean light, hence numerous art/craft galleries and shops. For theatre lovers, visit the romantic open-air Minack Theatre cut in to the cliff face with the ocean as a back drop. Experience culinary delights with a wide choice of al fresco dining at many water side locations. Cafés, bistros, pubs, bars, art galleries, shops and some amazing water sports all available within a short distance. There is a scenic coastal train service from nearby St Erth and Carbis Bay to St Ives passing some of the area’s gorgeous beaches and the famous Hayle estuary, popular with birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts from around the world. Carbis Bay is within walking distance at just under a mile away, down hill there, and a climb up hill on the way back, and there is a train and bus route into the centre of St Ives. There are also cycle trails, cliff top and coastal walks, fishing, golf, sailing, numerous sub-tropical gardens and National Trust properties to visit. Or simply return and unwind in the peaceful garden with an evening drink. Invercloy is an impressive detached house with a small adjoining completely self contained annex, used occasionally by the owners, each with its own private, front and rear enclosed gardens and gated drive with parking.
