Lon Ban itself was faultless, spotlessly clean, spacious and airy with lovely front views over Loch Harport (when we could see it). In terms of nearby facilities, the Old Inn in Carbost village was very good, the Oyster Shed a let-down and whoever manages the Talisker Distillery shop should take a trip to Islay and see how they manage theirs.... more

Management response:

Thank-you for taking the time to post a review, I agree that the weather has been unseasonable this year. Hopefully it hasn't put you off the West Coast. Thank-you for kind comments on Lon Ban. more

I loved our huge bedroom, with views to loch and mountain. Even cooking was a pleasure as the kitchen was so well-equipped. I have never hired a property where all the... more

Management response:

Glad you enjoy the Games & that Skye refreshed you. Let you in to a secret, the crockery is what I'd love in my own house. I live in hope. You are welcome back anytime. more

Alternatively, from the east of the country from Edinburgh take the M90/A9 after the Forth Road Bridge. Continue past Perth following signs for Inverness until Dalwhinnie. Here take the A889 then the A86 to Spean Bridge where a right turn on to the A82 meets the route from Glasgow.
