Balloch is a smallish place with the main attraction being Loch Lomond. Location of flat is ok, however is on a busy-ish road with takeaway one side and petrol station the other, with the bedrooms being on road side. 15 min walk to railway station. Owner kindly provided milk & biscuits etc, with tinned soup being a welcome bonus when...

A modern property on the outskirts of the village of Balloch, lying close to the shores of Loch Lomond and within Scotland's first National Park.

Balloch often referred to as the gateway to the Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park. It has excellent road and rail links from Glasgow which make it a popular place to visit and good place to start exploring the National Park.

With its accessible location at the southern end of Loch Lomond and just off the main road from Glasgow to the West Highlands, it is an important centre of tourism. The largest number of boats cruising on Loch Lomond leave from here. It contains Balloch Country Park and Balloch Castle.
