Our party comprised eight family members, including grandparents and grandchildren.
The accommodation was spacious with a child-friendly and safe garden. The outside covered area - the "pressoir" - was a fine space to barbecue and party.
We had a great time exploring the surrounding countryside and visiting some grand chateaux and gardens. The chateau at Fougères-sur-Bièvre a couple of miles away is a little gem and also worth a visit; the grandchildren loved exploring it.. In the nearby village of Contres there is an excellent pool and lido with flume and picnic area, called "Ilo Bulle".
Blois is a lovely town with some free riverside parking. Lots of steps to climb in the town but lots to see and plenty of places to eat and drink.
