Spileo House is a very new three storey building with amazing apartments on the first floor. Each apartment has its own private balcony overlooking not only the private pool but also the amazing lush green countryside and the clear waters of the Ionion Sea. With only a five minute drive between Spileo House and the nearest beach, our hillside location spells tranquility, relaxation and privacy all the way. The apartments are both spacious and luxurious with a fully equipped kitchen, dining and sitting area. The double bedroom has its own balcony overlooking the pool. Other comforts include air conditioning, satellite TV and protective netting over balcony doors and windows. The complex has a 15m x 6m pool, sun terrace and communal BBQ area. Though found in a beautifully secluded location, Spileo House is by no means isolated. A number of amazing restaurants are to be found within walking distance of the property not to mention the very popular tourist resorts of Messonghi and Moraitika which are both a very short drive from our location. Sandy beaches and all the facilities and amenities one might require are provided there. Finally, Spileo village is part of an established 2 hour circular walk which takes you through olive groves, a traditional village with its church while offering amazing views of Moraitika and the mountain of Aghios Matheos.

Though strictly prohibited within the actual accommodation, naturally smoking is allowed on one's private balcony or by the pool and in the BBQ area. Relaxation retreat
This is the second time I have visited this venue. Excellent accommodation. Clean & very well kept. Owner jayne, Manageress Pauline, & all their staff are extremely helpful & do everything they can to make your stay perfect. Lizzie from genie tours is a MUST!! Fantastic day out with well thought out tour. She involved local people which kept it more authentic. One of the best tours I've experienced. Both venue & genie tours are highly recommended from me & my guests.

Mooie appartementen, prachtig uitzicht. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst
In tijd van Corona, staat hygiëne hoog in het vaandel. Je krijgt een eigen ligbed toegewezen bij het zwembad. Beddengoed om de dag verschoont, wel zelf eraf halen en in daarvoor bestemde zak doen en in de Laundry kliko deponeren. Het schoonmaakpersoneel komt alleen op de kamer als je er niet bent, en de ramen open staan. Pauline is een zeer zorgzame en aardige host. Prachtig uitzicht, alle balkons kijken op zee. Strand is op loopafstand.

Luxury Accomodation
A warm welcome awaited our late arrival at Spileo House. Pauline, the Hostess and Manager, couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. She was attentive without being intrusive; professional whilst friendly. Anastasia (Tasia) changed all the linen every other day and was always pleasant and efficient. She was very thorough preparing accommodation and even the mattresses were removed from the beds and aired. Spileo House exceeded our expectations with stunning views across the pool, gardens, the bay and the channel to mainland Greece and Albania. It was quiet and peaceful (adults only) with the main sound being the cicadas. Everything was available for a memorable stay, including Wi-Fi, dressing gowns, slippers, and towels for use at the delightful pool. There were also a first aid kit, sewing kit, hairdryer and books available and use of the BBQ area and laundry was encouraged, at no additional expense. Pauline, when requested to do so, recommended various local restaurants all of which provided us with delicious meals and good hospitality. The views from the two Penthouse Suites were truly stunning and they boated their own terraces, complete with jacuzzies. When the last day of our holiday arrived we were sorry to leave this little bit of paradise. It will be good to return one day, hopefully not in the too distant future. Many thanks to all at Spileo House. We did enjoy being with you.

Excellent
Lovely apartment with a spectacular view from the large balcony. Good a/c and wifi. Nice big comfortable bed. Modern well equipped kitchen. Large swimming pool. The whole complex was kept spotless by the staff. Pauline was absolutely terrific and sorted out any issues very quickly. Some minor points - couldn't get any English speaking TV stations. Oven tripped out the power to the apartment. Some late noise from the bbq area one night but otherwise very quiet and peaceful.

A great find
This is a lovely property in a stunning secluded location with fabulous views. Pauline who looks after Splieo House couldn’t have been more welcoming,helpful or charming. The apartments are well equipped, comfortable,and efficiently and quietly air conditioned. The balconies have the lovely view ot the Ionian Sea and the delightful pool. A measure of if a place is well run is how they deal with problems. We reported a minor issue with a shower door as we were going out for dinner. When we got back two men where struggling to fit a part which Pauline had gone out to purchase. The men were determined to succeed and they did! That’s service.

Geweldig verblijf !!!
Wij hebben in de periode van 24-05-2018 t/m 02-06-2018 genoten van elke dag in Spileo house. Bij onze aankomst in het donker stond Pauline al op ons te wachten. We kregen een buitengewoon vriendelijke en informatieve ontvangst in een prachtig super schoon appartement. De volgende ochtend werden we verrast door een fantastisch uitzicht vanuit een prima bed. Het appartement is ruim met een goede badkamer en aparte keuken met zitje. Pauline en haar staf maken het verblijf perfect en ze is er ook s’nachts om gasten te ontvangen. Ze zorgt ervoor dat het aan niets ontbreekt. Er zijn zeer goede restaurants op loopafstand zoals 75 Steps ( goed eten met een fantastisch uitzicht)en George en Elena ( lekker eten bij een zeer vriendelijke eigenaar). Ook zeer de moeite waard is het om naar het oude stadje Chlomos te rijden of lopen en daar te eten bij George Balis met eveneens een geweldig uitzicht. Ook in Agios Mattheos bij de taverne tegenover een winkel in afrasteringen goed gegeten na een lange mooie wandeling naar het oude klooster met onderweg prachtige uitzichtpunten. (Walks in Central Corfu van Hilary Whitton Paipeti) In de directe omgeving is genoeg te zien en te doen voor een 11 daagse vakantie. Spileo house is zeker een aanrader voor iedereen die betaalbare luxe zoekt in een rustige omgeving met ruim voldoende recreatie mogelijkheden.

No need to change a thing!
No photos or guest reviews prepared us for the stunning reality of these 10 units set within the building that is Spileo House. Elevated position above Messonghi ensures the most spectacular views from every one of the units and even from the swimming pool. Attention to detail made a stay in a self catering property feel like a 5 star hotel. We met Jayne the owner who made us most welcome and found the staff to be genuinely pleased that we were staying there! Nothing was too much trouble. We loved our 5 days here and wished we had booked for longer. There are bars and tavernas a mere 10 mins walk down towards the coast and our hire car enabled us to visit the beautiful sandy beaches in the west coast of Corfu. We will be re visiting Spileo House and have no hesitation in recommending a holiday here where the maximum number of guests is 20 at any one time. No noise and no crowded sun beds by the pool-Sheer bliss

Perfect!!
I have absolutely fallen in love with Spileo House apartments! Here to celebrate my 50th birthday with 3 much loved friends. The apartment is quiet, child free with the most stunning view!! Attention to detail here is incredible, the team who look after spileo are warm, friendly and attentive - not that we have had any concerns to share! What a way to celebrate! Relaxed, well fed by the plentiful tavernas and enjoying the local wine. We are all looking forward to a return visit. Thank you!

About the neighbourhood
Spileo House is nestled on an olive tree covered hillside in a picturesque location in south east Corfu. Although it is a very private, peaceful location, ideal for relaxing holidays, Spileo House is within walking distance of a number of amazing family restaurants offering the finest in dining. Our location is also a mere five-minute drive from the very popular tourist resorts of Messonghi and Moraitika where a full range of facilities and amenities are to be found ranging from shops and supermarkets to bars and restaurants. Finally, our location is ideal for nature lovers who are looking for less well travelled routes and roads for country walking, be it leisurely strolls or more strenuous uphill climbs.
Getting around
Because of our quiet, secluded location, a car would make getting around extremely convenient. Many sights and not only popular both also secluded beaches are to be found at various locations around the island and having one's own car makes getting there a lot easier. However, the very popular resorts of Messonghi and Moraitika, which include all the facilities and amenities of any popular resort, are approximately a fifteen walk from our location. This means one can enjoy variety during one's holiday without hiring a car or motorbike. For a reasonable fee, local taxis can be hired for runs to and from the local resorts. Finally, a bus stop is located a mere twenty metres from the property entrance where a daily service is provided.

How to get there
Our location is very easy to reach from both the airport and port in Corfu town. One simply takes the main southbound road to Lefkimmi, a major town in the south of the island. On reaching Moraitika, after approximately half an hour's drive, one will reach a roundabout. Here you take the second exit in the direction of Messonghi. Do not turn left into the village of Messonghi. Instead simply take the road which leads straight to Kato Spileo where Spileo House is located. As one approaches the village of Spileo, the road gets quite steep and narrows also. However, within minutes you will reach the property which is just after the small church located on the left. There is a private drive on the left leading down to the property gates.
