Hollin How is a converted traditional lakeland barn in the small village of Dockray, one mile from lake Ullswater.<BR><BR>The property is ideal for walkers, with walks right from your doorstep including Aira Force waterfall. Gowbarrow Fell is to the West of the village and High Street mountain range and Helvellyn are nearby. For the more energetic and adventurous Rookin House Activity Centre is just over a mile away where you can try numerous activities including archery, quad bikes, go-karts, horse riding, fishing and clay pigeon shooting. Also an ideal area for mountain biking or cycling.<BR><BR>The Royal Hotel in Dockray is only a few minutes walk where you can have an informal bar meal or dine in the restaurant which serves traditional Cumbrian and modern dishes. Had a lovely time. Excellent cottage, very clean, lovely location. Ideal for exploring the Lake District.Would highly recommend it.

Upon arrival at Hollin How, Joanne and Paul were very welcoming. We stay in the Lakes every year, usually in Bowness and normally end up travelling a lot to go for walks/runs in the mountains. Our second visit to Hollin How after a 6 year gap. Everything was as we remembered, well equipped and of good quality. Ideally placed for visiting the many local attractions and tackling some of the excellent walks that can be done from the doorstep.
