Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

Glad we went with you !
Had a wonderful time there. Beautiful location and very well maintained. Chetram the head cooks food is finger licking good. 5 stars just to the food. Divya was very helpful and arranged everything from the outset. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who wants to space out from the daily buzzz around.

Average stay. Would not recommend
We stayed at Uncle Bob for 2 nights. The property is managed by V are family. They were professional before we arrived asked us for vaccination certificates etc but the sad part is there own staff was not vaccinated as mentioned by the staff themselves. Shravan was one of the staff who was at the villa and was very courteous and polite. The other 2 staff were very average and honestly have nothing positive to say about them.
In terms of the property, it’s run down and in real life looks nothing in terms of upkeep like in the pictures. The downstairs bedroom, is not suitable for a lady as the staff have their entrance and exit from the front of the room and they look inside every time they pass. Unless one is willing to draw the curtains and sit inside, you really can’t be in the room during daytime. The staff quarters are next to the room from the outside and is very noisy as one can hear their entire conversations. The room A/C was another disaster as it stopped working at night and after complaining no one came till post 7:30 pm and then we had to tell them not to come. Lots of insects and mosquitoes outside and no provision of any insect repellent. The bathroom door needs to looked into as it’s so noisy to open and shut that the other person is bound to get disturbed. The towels were of very inferior quality and after requesting for a change it was still not done. Luckily, we had carried our own towels which we had to use. Food was average and nothing to speak about. No view, no walking track and nothing about this property which would lure you to return. There are much better properties for the same price and my suggestion would be to go elsewhere.

Best choice for home away from home in the mountains
WOW!! Never knew this kind of place existed. Best place to create memories. The staff Uma Kant and Jeetu Bhaiya were like genies, awesome culinary skills, great food, and best of all always smiling and ready to give you a beyond the money experience.
Food layout in the garden with mesmerising views in the backdrop. Comfortable homely villa, best for 3 families. Good high speed internet. Blue tooth music system. Very open and spacious rooms With views and toilets. Karunaji an amazing host. Would give 5 stars to hospitality, booking experience, Food, views, Cleanliness, hygiene and overall comfort.
Highly recommended.

Beautiful property with yummmy food!
We were a group of 8 adults and one 6 year old.
Pros:
The villa is exactly as shown in the pics - the rooms and bathrooms are modern and spacious. We spent most of our time in the common areas (living room and outside lawn) which are comfortable and are tastefully decorated with furniture that has character. The staff cooked yummy food based on what we requested. We had three meals and lots of masala chai :). It was important for us that we get home cooked food and that's exactly what we got, something that you can't replicate in a hotel or a resort. Kudos to the staff who catered to our requests even though out booking was last minute. They put up a bonfire for us in the evening which was enjoyable and comfortable on a winter evening.
Cons:
The approach road to the villa, about 200 meters off the main rood is very steep and does not have any protection on one side. We were not aware of this and started driving up, only to stall mid way which was a scary experience for all of us. So we decided to walk up. Thankfully we had two vehicles and one driver (i was driving one of the cars). The driver was more experienced driving in the hills and drove the two cars one by one up to the villa. V are family should have posted about this approach road on their website as families travelling with the elderly and infants may find it to be a deterrent.
Another issue is about child safety. The lawn outside has a low wall with gaps as a boundary. So, we had to constantly monitor my son when playing outside. So if you have small kids / babies, you will want to factor this in.

Amazing Property - Truly a home away from home for quality time
We had an amazing quality family time at this amazing, well maintained, spacious and well staffed property with very good quality toiletries. The property offers a beautiful home away from home with all the luxuries of a five star hotel with beautiful views of the valley. A serene and peaceful place. We had the best BBQ & Bonfire in the evenings. The staff is ever smiling, caring, respectful, helpful and ever ready to make the stay comfortable & memorable. Can't ask for anything more. Perfect place to spend quality time in a place you can call home. We were accompanied by Jitendra for a wonderful trek with some lovely picnic snacks.
Pooja is whom i interacted and she made me feel so comfortable & relaxed even before we visited. I found a friend in Pooja, the owner of the property and would highly recommend her properties and looking forward to visiting more of their properties for our future family trips.

A home away from home
This cosy cottage offers a beautiful home away from home with all the luxuries of a five star hotel. The exceptional services provided by the caretaker - Jitender and cook -Umakant made our stay extremely hospitable and comfortable.
In all aspects this place was exceptional.
Food-***** . Cooked by Umakant as per your request and preference. You just have to tell them in advance what you want to have for each meal from their vast menu so that they can procure the materials in advance
Ambience-*****
Comfort-*****
Service- *****
View- Absolutely beautiful views of the valley
Anybody in need of a quiet, beautiful and blissful retreat should definitely head here.
P.S. the place is 5-6 KMS away from Kasauli and the road to the villa is not upto the mark due to the landslides. But all of that is negated once you enter the villa.

Splendid property
We guys travelled to Kasauli and decided on this place through V are family . It truly felt like family being here . From Karuna’s interface before reaching to the hospitality of the staff ( Jitendra and Manas) and the ever so helpful chef Umakant , everything here was perfect . The house is extremely plush and well maintained . The facilities and service standards impeccable . They organised a great bonfire and barbecue . Food was excellent . We will certainly be back . Thanks
