Holiday Rental House
SPECIAL OFFER: 150€ off two week and 320€ off three week bookings. This secluded villa enjoys a verdant setting within walking distance of a wooded creek on a lovely stretch of Brittany’s south coast, between Concarneau and Lorient. With its indoor pool, hot tub, sauna and games room - and sandy beaches nearby – it offers the perfect location for a seaside holiday at any time of the year. Villa Port is hidden away down small country lanes close to the River Laita, along a stretch that is a sheltered inlet offering anchorage. Here, riverside paths lead through the woods to eventually reach the port and small seaside resort of Le Pouldu (4km by road) with its several sandy coves. Just a few kilometres further up the coast is the unspoilt fishing port of Doelan, now famous across France. T...SPECIAL OFFER: 150€ off two week and 320€ off three week bookings. This quiet haven with just a few quayside restaurants, bars and cafes was the location for the hit French TV version of Doc Martin (with the same title as the original UK series). Just across the river at Guidel (but 13km by road) the beaches stretch out along the flatter coastline as far as Larmor Plage and the entrance to the natural harbour of Lorient. The villa is arranged on split levels, however the heart of the property is without doubt the spacious dining room with large table plus a coffee table and occasional chairs. The room overlooks the indoor pool and French windows open onto the front and side terraces. Outside the sizeable, mature garden, including a small orchard, offers a good deal of privacy as well as plenty of space for children to play and ample shade for those who prefer to enjoy dappled sunshine whilst relaxing on a lazy afternoon. The village of Clohars Carnoet (6km) has a supermarket, bakery, other shops, bars and banks. ACCOMMODATION LIVING AREA Main door into garden level. About the neighbourhood
DAY TRIP IDEAS CONCARNEAU (33km) The main attraction of this important fishing port on the south Brittany coast is Ville Clos, a small walled town built on an island in the natural harbour. Accessed by a bridge from the quayside, the narrow streets within the granite ramparts are lined with shops and restaurants. GOLFE DU MORBIHAN (60km) The Morbihan Gulf is a massive inland sea dotted with numerous islands; only a narrow channel connects it to the open sea. Some of the islands can be explored on foot or by bike, while a great way to discover the enormity of the Golfe is aboard one of the many pleasure boats that ply the creeks and open waters between the small harbours. The area is littered with prehistoric monuments - not to be missed are the stone avenues of Carnac as well as the delights of old Vannes and Auray.
