This is a small watermill that was in use until the beginning of the nineteen hundreds. The foundations date back 400 years. The mill was beautifully rebuilt and a modern stone extension added. It is set in a very pretty valley with sweeping fields and woods and lovely views at every turn. There is a beautiful view from every window of the house. The surrounding gardens are very pretty and well shaded by tall trees.

The colourful kitchen-diner, attractively fitted in pine, leads straight onto the terrace through sliding patio doors where one can eat or lounge in the sun or under the stars. A bedroom gives onto the terrace too and can be a sitting room If desired or I can set up a small art studio. There is a pretty twin bedded second bedroom and a double bed on the mezzanine.

La Mouline was just lovely. It was comfortable, well equipped and easy to live in. The best bit was the patio doors which led from the kitchen straight onto the pretty terrace. We had lots of meals sitting outside admiring the scenery, watching the birds...More

There are very many wonderful very historic towns a gorgeous drive away with tourist information readily available. Cahors for its old town, the River Lot and the Valentrae bridge and river trip to St.Cirq la Popee; Moissac's romanesque Abbey and Cloisters, lovely squares, shops and riverside and canal side walks and cycling; Valence d'Agen for it's gigantic market on Tuesdays and its old riverside commercial buildings, lavoir and communal spaces and going onto La Magistere and Agen with cycle riding all the way along the Canal du Midi; Auvillar with its buildings in small red bricks and especially its circular market. From Fumel, going along the D811 in the direction of Cahors, there are many lovely little towns on or near the river Lot. One can go much further afield... more

Railway: Cahors, Agen: 30.0 km
From northerly ports - Calais, Dieppe, Boulogne - make for Orleans and at Vierzen pick up Autoroute 20, which is free to Brive. Continue to Cahors and take the South exit. As you come to Cahors, go right round the first big roundabout to the exit marked AGEN, VILLENEUVE. LAUZERTE, MONCUQ - D653. Keep on the Agen road and a few miles after Moncuq one leaves the Lot and enters Tarn et Garonne. You are now very near .....
