Banagher, County Offaly
Located on a farm only 2.5 miles from Banagher town in Co. Offaly, Ireland. The Ashtree Cottage has the feeling of seclusion while it is actually well placed to tour the West of Ireland and is within easy walking distance of the River Shannon! If your passion is fishing then Ashtree Cottage is the place for you! Its location near the River Shannon makes the Ashtree an angler's dream

Banagher is famous for its Irish music pubs, its river cruises, Bog walks and tours, great Fishing, (coarse fishing - pike fishing is particularly rewarding). Its proximity to several golf courses, Excellent super markets and shops, Restaurants and Hotels make it a great holiday location . Most of the pubs serve really good food and creamy Guinness .

Enjoyed our stay. We were quite comfortable & had everything we needed. The rural location was very peaceful. A bonus was each room having their own bathroom & (of course) being able to do our own laundry. Marian was fantastic to deal with. Only suggestion would be an update of the tv

The three bedrooms each had their own private bathroom and the living/dining/kitchen areas were of sufficient proportion to allow us all to knuckle down and cook together. The wood burner is a beautiful feature and...
