Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.

Perfect place for family fun
Wonderful place for a family holiday. The house is comfortable and well equipped, Lorna has thought of everything, a real home from home. The garden is something else! A little bit of heaven on earth. The garden round the house is secure and safe enough for small children to explore and enjoy playing in the little pathways and the large grassed area with swings, football and badminton nets. The shed has lots of equipment to keep kids old and young entertained. Across the paddock there is a beautiful woodland garden with a pond, stream and a wooden hut. The children aged 2 to 9 and the dog absolutely loved it. Fantastic area for exploring or just to sit and relax with a book. The donkeys, Tom, Dick & Harry were a bonus, children visited every day armed with carrots. Our whole party loved it here and can't thank Lorna enough sharing this gorgeous place with us. Just what we needed after a couple of rough years. We didn't want to leave and loved it so much we hope to return next year.

Beware
We had booked this property for Autumn half term and paid the full rental. We were devastated when Wales locked down and we couldn't travel from England. We were entitled to a full refund but Lorna retained 12.5%, saying it was the booking fee she had paid to West Wales Holiday Cottages (WWHC). WWHC say, they are not a booking agent, the fee charged Lorna was purely for advertising. Despite citizens advice bureau and the Wales Tourist Office saying I am entitled to a full refund I have been unable to get £180+ back. With the current situation this could happen again.

Pencwm is the perfect place to rest your soul
We stayed at Pencwm for a week as a family group with son, daughters, partners grandchildren and dogs. The weather wasn't great but it didn't matter as Pencwm is so peaceful and the gardens are enchanting. The house is comfortable and homely and not so pristine that you feel uncomfortable especially with dogs and rain!! A very special feature is the "Hobbit House" in the gardens with furs, barbecue and candles. We had a birthday whilst we were there and celebrated in the "Hobbit" until 2am with nobody within earshot to disturb. There are no shops nearby but Tesco does deliver so our shopping was waiting for us. It's about 40 min to the nearest beach. Lorna is delightful and it was a great pleasure to stay in her farmhouse

So much space and so much to enjoy here
This spacious farmhouse housed three families and a dog very comfortably. The grounds are equally spacious and fabulous. The summer house was a treat for us all, including the dog. We played games on the lawn, ate our meals in the garden even when it was slightly damp. We stayed up in the evenings enjoying board games in the very spacious living room. Enough space for 9 of us including 7 adults to spread out in the kitchen. We even mastered the Aga cooker which was always on and very comforting at times as the dog snuggled up by it and enjoyed the gentle warmth. We had a supermarket delivery on the day we arrived and all the food went into the huge fridge freezer. We went to many different places including Tenby on a hot and sunny day which coincided with a Golden Wedding party which was the purpose of the trip. Cardigan was wet but still fun, even bumped into Johnny Vegas who was charming and posed for photographs. Cardigan has some fabulous little coffee bars and restaurants. We did several castles and the kids had fun dressing up at some of them. The donkeys at the farm provided us with entertainment but we made sure to keep the dog away from them. We would certainly go back.

Country Life
If this is how they treat you down on the farm,it was certainly good enough for us.We are a party of 10,5 Adults and 5 children.Children age from 3 up to 9 years. The Farm house is very large and very comfortable.the gardens also large are well kept.the children were never indoors, that made the parents very happy, probally because the children were completely safe. The beaches are plentiful, and about a 40 minute drive from the house.there are plenty of places to eat,and plenty of places to visit.the arger cooker was slow,we got used to it in the end, after all there was no rush. You will need your sat nav,and you will use it.Your are a10 minute drive from the main road through country lanes, and after a couple of days I got used to it.If you want a large house in a farm setting with safety and peace and quiet this is ideal. We all definitely slowed down and enjoyed the rural life, and the lovely beaches and surrounds that Pembrokeshire has in abundance. This is a different world to the hustle and bustle of modern life, after a while you realise there is a different way of doing things out there, and we were all very pleased to have belonged to it for a short time.three words to conclude, wonderful, first class, excellent.!!!!

Mrs
Have had a great week, despite the weather (take wellies and then there is no excuse to explore the grounds). The Farmhouse is well equipped and able to accommodate a large group. There was 9 adults, 1 toddler and 2 babies in our group. We didn't have to take any large bits for little ones as it was all available - 3 travel cots, a booster seat and highchair. Also plenty of outside toys to keep them and adults occupied. The grounds are vast and fantastic, I would go again just for them. Pity we didn't get to use the BBQ Hut as it looked awsome. Thanks to Lorna (and Dave).

Perfect family get away
We recently staying in this house for a long weekend and it is perfect. We had small children, dogs and adults and the property was suitable for all. The house and surrounding area is beautiful. The garden is very large with plenty of activities for the children. We were lucky to have picked a sunny weekend and spent most of our time in the garden and in the adults paddling pool. The house is beautiful and has plenty of room for everyone with lots of bedrooms and bathrooms. There are lots of books, dvds, toys and games for the children to enjoy. There are 3 donkeys you can pet and feed at the property and lots of nice scenic walks to be enjoyed. I would highly recommend this property!

A perfect place for a family gathering
Lorca greeted us warmly and ensured our stay was comfortable and stress-free. The accommodation was warm and homely with everything we needed to relax and enjoy the family get-together. Bedrooms are roomy and beds very comfortable. Bathrooms clean and showers good. The large kitchen with good cooking facilities and a big dining table was perfect for large family meals. Our dog had a great time running around the grounds. The location is great to get away from it all, yet close enough to shops and towns for day trips etc. Highlight of the week was a barbecue in the fabulous hut in the grounds- despite the persistent rain we were able to enjoy an evening sat around the coals eating steaks and burgers- an all year round treat for guests to discover. Overall a highly recommended place to stay, whatever the weather. Thank you Lorna for all your help and support to ensure my parents enjoyed their 60th wedding anniversary.

A week of bliss
Tucked away in picturesque surroundings, this house is perfect for larger groups. A bit of a drive to the nearest beach, but worth it to escape the typical tourist filled town. Loved spending afternoons in the spacious gardens, weather permitting! House fit to purpose, managed to accommodate our large group of twelve, clean and tidy, and seemed to have everything we wanted. Lorna was extremely welcoming and helpful upon arrival and throughout the week. Would definitely stay again.
