Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.
If you have submitted a review for a holiday rental property, we may also ask that you provide us with proof of your stay to ensure that your review is attached to the correct rental property.
Holiday rental reviews collected via the VRBO website (formerly Homeaway) and syndicated to the Tripadvisor website are not currently subject to Tripadvisor’s standard moderation processes.

A cabin in the woods
Our stay at Ty Bedwen was a joy, set in a beautiful garden & woodland with glorious mountain views, the cabin was comfortable, cosy with all the creature comforts a little gem, with great local walks & bike rides & a warm friendly local pub serving good food & tasty ales, happy day's away from it all, would highly recommend, steve

Perfect getaway
We (family of 5) loved our stay here, the cabin is in a lovely setting, surrounded by trees and safe area to explore outside. The cabin is clean and comfortable and has everything you need for your stay. We would highly recommend to any family looking to explore the area.

Cabin in the middle of nowhere.
Very comfortable cabin, located in woodland, in a beautiful part of Wales. Two double bedrooms and one bedroom with bunkbeds. Open plan living room and kitchen. We really liked the wildlife around the cabin (bring sunflower seeds).
Edit. Unfortunately, after our stay we received a private message from the owner.
Which we felt was quite abrupt and rude. Criticizing us for asking questions prior to the stay and for not leaving it spotless. In the check out rules, nothing was mentioned about cleaning. However, as a rule we leave all accom in a respectable state. We wiped all surfaces, hoovered and emptied the bin.
So, on balance we would have stayed again, if it wasn't for the message sent by the owner. Disappointing.
Extra info.
Access.
The cabin is accessed down a small private country lane (1 min to the cabin), entrance from the A470, adjacent to a large house selling eggs. Some road noise, but mostly muffled by trees. Google coordinates 52.7222137, -3.6974251.
Internet.
Wifi was good, especially as there was no phone signal or mobile internet in the cabin or across the area.
Cabin interior.
The beds were fairly comfy and had plenty of pillows and a good duvet. Howver, they are not at all soundproof.
All polyester bedding, which was personally appreciated as I have a feather allergy. Good bathroom - the shower (over the bath) was brilliant. Everything was clean and spacious. There is plenty of cutlery, pans, crockery, tea towels and a great kettle.
They have a smart TV, dvd and VHS player. With a variety of DVDs/VHS to use. Tip. You cannot connect your mobile using hdmi to the TV. Also, the TV for us was mostly unwatchable, due to the 'soap opera' effect (if you haven't heard of it, look it up on Google).
The cuttlery is also kept in a secret cupboard, nearly behind the dining table, in a secret drawer. Not sure why, as there is a cuttlery drawer next to the sink. Also, in the secret cupboard is the crockery. Above the sink there are glasses for every occasion. Personally, I'd remove some of the glasses (over 30 glasses front tiny to medium) and put the crockery in there. It's only a small thing, but worth mentioning if you can't find them.
Bring duvet cover, pillow cases (4 for each bed), hand towel for bathroom and a bathmat.
Food.
If you plan on shopping before you arrive, I suggest not to bring too much needing refrigeration, as the fridge is very small for a family(and very low down). Unfortunately, we didn't know this and most of the veg we brought went off in the heat, as we couldn't fit it in. Fridge is about twice the size of a beer fridge, with a freezer compartment inside. Nearest major supermarket is 45 mins away, but there is a very good Co-op in Dolgellau about 10mins away.
Cabin exterior.
The steps into the cabin at the front and to the side are very high for anyone with a mobility problem, I have a back problem and I found I had to hold onto the door frame.
You have your own dedicated parking spot, right outside the front of the cabin.
The cabin is on the end of a row of cabins, which from what I could tell are occupied by live in tenants, mostly elderly with large dogs.
