The 4* rated Parker's Cottage is a delightful detached Grade II listed building, complete with it's original mullion windows. Last lived in in 1902, Parker's Cottage was recently rebuilt to create a fantastic three bedroom holiday cottage that affords superb views across Deepdale on to Whernside - the highest of The Three Peaks. This is an escape from it all location, yet under one and a half miles from the cobbled centre of Dent Village. The ground floor features a living room with feature fireplace and the original bread oven. There is comfortable seating for five and a television with Freeview channels and a DVD player. A well-equipped kitchen with dining area and great views from the four ground floor front facing windows. The boundary wall to the front has been lowered in part to provide a large seating area, ideal for taking in the wonderful view! Central heating throughout as well as that real fire. Bedding and linen provided. All electric, heating & wifi is included in the price. No Smoking.More

Stayed here for a weekend at end of February for anniversary present,absolutely stunning views with everything you could possibly need,friendly owner,fantastic open fire and dog friendly simply perfect thanks.

About the neighbourhood
Located in The Western Dales area of The Yorkshire Dales National Park, Dentdale is a very special place to stay. Dentdale is 10 miles long, with the high fells including Whernside, Aye Gill Pike, Great Combe dominating the skyline, with The Howgill Fells & Lakeland peaks to the west. 2 real ale pubs in Dent , both serve food until 8.30pm, 2 tea shops/cafes & a village store that is also the post office on Tuesday Thursday mornings. The Heritage Centre, (museum of local history) artists studio, village store. Great walks & cycle routes, low & high level, sea views out in to Morecambe Bay from the top of Crag Hill. Lazy walks along the banks of the River Dee & The Dales Way.
Getting around
Dent has the highest railway station in the country & is on the Settle to Carlisle railway. There is a good daily service to Settle, Skipton, Leeds, Appleby & Carlisle with special steam hauled trains running through from May through to late October. Advance booking essential. Dent also has a 3 or 4 times per week bus service throughout the year.
