Watch the river go by in your own private heated pool or enjoy dining al fresco on the shaded patio or inside in the large open plan kitchen and dining room. The Old Wharf Cottage was originally built in 1903 in the Edwardian, Arts and Crafts era. It has been lovingly maintained to a high standard. Situated on a large plot and boasting riverside lawns stretching down to a second patio by the river Thames bank. You enter the house through the main entrance hall which also leads upstairs via the solid oak staircase. Once upstairs there is a substantial, king-sized bed, en-suite room, with riverside views and balcony. There is one further large en-suite twin room, as well as good sized twin and double rooms with access to a full size family bathroom. All three bathrooms are state of the art with walk in showers and the family bathroom also has a full length bath. A highlight of this house is the last double room, which is attached to the side of the house on 17th century brick pillars and is constructed out of 19th century beams from one of the first pioneering ships bound for Australia and contains beautiful carvings and unique features from this era. The whole house is double glazed and centrally heated making it perfect for year around breaks. Downstairs consists of a fully stocked kitchen and breakfast bar with both an AGA and an electric cooker and an open plan dining room which seats 10, perfect for entertaining or cooking large family meals. There are two further lounges adjacent to the kitchen, one west facing, overlooking the river Thames, while the other provides a relaxing area equipped with a faux coal electric fire and flat screen tv with Sky and Netflix and a grand piano. There are multiple board games available, as well as an outdoor ping pong table and croquet set. There is also a multipurpose play area for younger children, in the riverside garden, which as the pool, is fenced in. Young children should still be supervised. The 10m by 4m pool is heated from April to October and the river side decking area provides the perfect place for relaxing. As does the garden, backing directly onto the river Thames. There are multiple pool floats and lilos to help you relax and wind down. Please ask about the availability of the pool outside of the summer months The riverside views are a real highlight of this property, positioned between two small islands, this is a beauty spot with fantastic opportunities for bird watching or just enjoying the river and letting its gentle bustle float by. Local swans and ducks are daily visitors. We can also help organise boat trips to explore the Thames. There is ample private parking for multiple cars to the rear of the property, surrounded by picturesque cottage gardens in two separate parking areas. We have good rail links close by, from both Slough and Sunnymeads rail stations to central London taking approximately 18 and 40 minutes to Paddington and Waterloo Stations. Providing easy access to all of London's central attractions including Oxford street, the Natural History museum, Westminster Abbey, The Tower of London, the Houses of Parliament and much more. There are good air links from Heathrow (15mins) and Gatwick (45mins) and convenient transport links exist to both. Windsor is only 7 minutes away by car with access to places of interest such as Windsor Castle, the Magna Carta, RAF and JF Kennedy memorials at Runnymede, 15th century Eton College, Legoland and Windsor Racecourse as well as a host of restaurants and other attractions. The village's local pub 'the George' is within a short walking distance and is a highly rated cosy eatery, perfect for a Sunday roast, recommended booking in advance. The Old Wharf Cottage is a beautiful riverside holiday retreat and is perfect for families and large groups. 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, sleeps 10. We look forward to hearing from you.

Beautiful Setting
Easy booking process.. easy to find, tucked right at the end of the road, with easy parking. Beautiful looking house and gardens. Mostly enjoyed just sitting in the pretty garden in the sunshine, watching the boats sail by, but also feeding the ducks just at the waters edge, while cooking a BBQ and the children happily playing in the heated outdoor pool. Inside could do with a revamp if totally honest but spoke with owner about my concerns and he took them on board for the future. Kids enjoyed playing on the piano too. Thanks for a lovely stay!

So Amazing!
We stayed here as a family of 10 having just arrived from Australia. This was our first accommodation after landing at Heathrow and we were all blown away by the beauty of this place and the facilities it offered! There is so much room, and the views of the river out the back were something special. It was warm and inviting with so many nooks and crannies to explore! Being Winter we didn't make use of the pool, but it looked so amazing that I think I'll be back when it warms up! We walked to The George Inn for dinner, twice, and had fantastic meals. A small convenience store is located next to The George Inn for all the basics. I really can't speak more highly of Wharf Cottage. It was everything I hoped for and more! We had the best time! Thank you!

Mary Poppins of a house 'practically perfect in everyway'
Wonderfully friendly area, convenient for every diverse taste from 'fine dinning, Lego Land to Old Windsor Culture'. Easy access in to London, chill out on the river or relax away from the hustle and bussle of work in a secluded paradise. Each and everyone of our party from Austrlia, Italy, London and The Shire found their haven....this will be our multi cultural get together, each having their needs and taste met. Old Wharf Cottage is home from home ...Thank You!!

Pleasant old Windsor cottage stay
Had a fabulous comfortable relaxing stay at this cottage. All my siblings loved it and are planning to come back. Everything was top notch and the house was neat and clean. The kitchen was fully equipped. Bedrooms were spacious and there were lots of living areas to relax. The view was spectacular. Cons Could not run two or more showers at the same time. No instructions on where to place the trash. Better instructions needed on retrieving key to the house...maybe a YouTube video demonstration might help. Need USB iPhone charging devices and international plug adaptors. Would definitely visit again

BELLISSIMO COTTAGE

Brilliant House
The house was exactly what we required for our stay in the area. Comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen! lots of bits and bobs around which made it even more exciting! Only downfall would be that the fridge wasn't that cold! May be time for an update!

We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay. We have taken your feedback on board. We apologise for the pool being cloudy and have addressed this issue. The house is centrally heated as well as having an AGA and is profesionally cleaned between every visit. We hope that our previous 5 and 4 star reviews speak for the quality of our house.
