A delightful sophisticatedly rustic 'cottage' with a blooming courtyard and most attentive and hospitable hosts. This was a perfect location for a shoulder season stay away from the beach resorts. The town is charming with restaurants and shops aplenty but little tourist tat. The gift shop is run by a young artist with taste. Small but interesting museum with many Minoan sites nearby. Easy access to Knossus and the wonderful landscapes in the center of the island.
Not for infirm visitors as the apartment is on two levels and the town is on the side of a hill. Small cars only. more
