Walk to local pub 10 mins, 5 miin drive to Lyme Regis town or leave the car behind and follow lovely riverside walk to the town and beach (20 minutes).
Little Roost is at one end of historic, former coaching house, The Roost, situated on an idyllic country road near the River Lim. Private parking and roof terrace garden. Great any time of year for a relaxing break or cosy, romantic autumn/winter escape (gas CH) offering best of both country and coastal walks with stunning local scenery.

Excellent facilities - very tasteful decor. Lovely warm welcome. Nice quiet location within walking distance of Lyme Regis.

Thoughtful details provided throughout including bed linen, towels, tea towels as well as the more unexpected fresh tulips, eggs, bread and bottle of wine to welcome our arrival! Rose popped round when we got there and gave helpful directions to the local shop (10 min river walk one way) and Lyme (25-30min river walk the other way) - bring wellies...

The Little Roost is an attached cottage, perfect for a couple, done-up beautifully: the internal space is well exploited and all the details are just perfect, with good taste and good workmanship all around. About the neighbourhood
Lyme Regis one of the UK's most beautiful and charming seaside locations. The town offers many unique, independent gift shops and specialist food and drink retailers. There's a local Theatre, town brewery and wide variety of pubs and cafe-restaurants. A thriving local music and arts community hosts numerous festivals and exhibitions throughout the year. Lyme Fossil museum is a magnet for both adults and children and local shops sell genuine fossils, gem stones and crystals. A guided tour of the fossil beaches is available - see Lyme Tourist Office for details. Nearby Honiton and Bridport are famous for their antique shops and markets. All along the Jurassic coast are beautiful, uncomercialised beaches with stunning countryside nearby.

Railway: Axminster : 8.0 km
BY ROAD: Around two miles from the A35 main road - between Lyme Regis and Axminster. 3.5 hours drive from London (private parking in carport).
Only 5 mins drive into Lyme Regis town and the beach, or pleasant 20 minute walk via country East Devon Way footpath. Buses into town and direction Bridport/West Bay /Dorchester every hour but unreliable outside peak times. Local taxis available - advise you book in advance to be sure - Terry's Taxi (Uplyme) or MCabs (Lyme Regis).
BY TRAIN: Under 3 hours from London Waterloo to Axminster train station (Exeter line) then 12 minute taxi ride or bus (peak hours only ) to Uplyme.
City of Exeter is a 45 minute drive.
