The area is generally quiet and is characterised by a number of small towns and villages such as Manilva, Torreguadiaro, La Duquesa and Sabinillas. The nearest beaches, Playa Sardinas and Playa a, are about 3kms from the house but the coast road provides access to numerous beaches with Puerto La Duquesa and Sabinillas being the most popular and a 5min drive away. It is possible to walk to the local beaches but the return trip is very much uphill. Playa Sardinas has one beach bar/restaurant. Sabinillas offers all the necessary amenities including supermarkets, banks, bars and restaurants, and a long beach. Directions to the house

From Malaga:

The house is a 1 hr 20min drive from Malaga airport. On exiting Malaga airport take the westbound A7 coast road (not the inland AP-7 which is a motorway with toll) and follow signs for Cadiz and Algeciras. The A7 bypasses Torremolinas, Marbella and Estepona. The nearest town is Sabinillas which is joined to La Duquesa. The next village after La Duquesa is Manilva.

From Manilva:

After passing through Manilva roundabout and under the footbridge, take the first turn on the right about 100m after the bridge. Watch out for 60km and 40km speed limit signs immediately before the turnoff.

Upon turning right you are entering the urbanization called Bahia de las Rocas. After the security barrier, proceed 100m and take the first turn right into Sierra...
