This is the second review that I've written for Cosaig and our fourth visit there, I think. The cottage is still an amazingly cosy and home-from-home experience that has so much to recommend it, so I won't enthuse TOO MUCH about how well-stocked it is...More

About the neighbourhood
Surrounded by outstanding countryside, and located on the river Tweed, Innerleithen caters exceptionally well for holiday-makers. On Cosaig's doorstep you will find not only a selection of interesting shops, friendly pubs and small restaurants, but also tourist attractions such as Traquair House, the National Trust's Robert Smail's Printing Works and St. Ronan's Wells.

For the more active there is a multitude of lovely local walks and bike rides. Indeed Innerleithen is famous for it's downhill track which is one of the 7stanes mountain bike trails. Very nearly complete is a new all-purpose path which will link Innerleithen, Cardrona and Peebles, and which will take you to Glentress, another huge draw for mountain bikers. Glentress is also the home of a new Go-Ape tree...
