Whitehavens is a character period cottage situated in the heart of Highcliffe village a few minutes walk from the award winning Highcliffe beach where there are panoramic views of the Isle of Wight, Hengisbury Head and the Purbeck Peninsular. Moments from the front door is the main Highcliffe High Street with a variety of shops (including a Tesco and a Coop), restaurants (Thai, Fish'n'Chips, traditional local fare), cafes, pubs and takeaways (Chinese, Fish'n'Chips). There are numerous local attractions within walking distance including Highcliffe Castle and Mudeford Quay (from where you can take the seasonal ferry service to the famous Hengisbury Head). Beautiful Victorian property with modern interiors. Close to the Jurassic coast, where you can collect fossils and sharks teeth. Lovely walks near by, lovely pubs (the amberwood is our favourite) and restaurants, especially the fish and chip shop near by. 5 minute walk from coast....More

What a wonderful holiday! The cottage is idylic with a lovely spacious back garden for eating al fresco. The local chippy is to die for and supper on the beach (which is about 5 minutes walk from the chippy) was marvelous. We'll certainly be back...More
