There are nice views of the village houses from the shuttered window, and the rooflight makes it very bright and airy. There is a stunning view of the lake and distant hills from the french windows and the double height ceiling gives a wonderful sense of space. Outside there is a balcony with a table and two chairs which provides a fantastic position to enjoy the breathtaking view over the lake. There is the use of a shared washing machine in the cellar under the apartment below, where there is also additional storage space for bikes or other bulky items. The lake is beautiful for swimming and relaxing. It only takes 5 minutes to walk down to it or a minute in the car. There are beaches near the village with snack bars and boat hire available. Or, if you prefer privacy, the lake is surrounded by secluded beaches which you can walk, drive or better still go by boat to. With breathtaking views of the lake and the foothills of the Alps, Lou Marcelou offers a superb location in this beautiful region of France and can be reached in under 2 hours from the airports of Marseilles and Nice to the south.
