Located in Kinghorn on the Fife coast, The Nethergate offers accommodation for up to 5 adults (and with cot, etc., for babies). Newly renovated as a purpose-built holiday let, the B-listed building (circa 1750) has lots of quirky features, such as deeply inset windows and thick stone walls. Situated less than a minute from a beautiful, quiet sandy beach with stunning views south to Edinburgh, it's ideal for trips into Edinburgh, as a base for a golfing holiday, or simply as a place to relax and unwind. Despite its age, we've worked hard to make the house cosy and warm, with full central heating and modern insulation, so you won't be shivering. The property also has free wifi broadband (~16Mb), private parking for two cars and a small garden with table and chairs. Well-behaved dogs welcome!More

About the neighbourhood
Kinghorn is a small village in the heart of Fife. Perfect as a base for exploring the rest of Fife or the Central Belt. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth and St Andrews are all easily accessible. On your doorstep you have woodland walks, beaches as well as the Fife Coastal Path to explore. The large town of Kirkcaldy is just 10 minutes away by car for larger shops but Kinghorn itself has several grocers, a butcher's shop, chemist, baker's shop as well as cafes and pubs ( all dog friendly ) There is a restaurant a fish and chip shop and a Chinese takeaway. Kinghorn Loch, which is a pleasant walk through the village, is also home to a dog-friendly cafe and farm shop.
Getting around
A car is the easiest way to explore Fife. However the train station is a very short walk away so very handy as it is on the east coast main line - so around an hour to Edinburgh. There is also a very good bus service.
