They gyspy caravan was filthy, Mary told...

This is a little gem of a place where you can unwind, sit on the lovely terrace for some al fresco dining with...

About the neighbourhood
On the side of a wooded valley, the south-facing gardens and orchard enjoy sunshine all day in fine weather, and dark starry skies at night. Secluded but not remote, the village of Blakeney is about a 10 minute walk and offers pubs, village shop and post office, chip shop and hairdressers. The Apple Store is located in the hamlet of Furnace Valley on the edge of the Forest of Dean, and has direct access to the Forest via footpaths and tracks. A haven for wildlife with a stream and waterfall forming the boundary, it's not unusual to see wild boar at dawn and dusk, bats, owls, herons, red kites and buzzards and even deer and otters amongst the many visitors to the garden. Nearby we have several heritage museums and places of interest, Norman castles, steam railways and opportunities t... more
