This must be the most comprehensively equipped holiday home we have stayed in. Everything from food and toiletries to shoe cleaning was covered. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The neighbourhood was quiet, but access to main roads was good if you wish to tour the area.
The sofas in the lounge were lovely and we were cosy and warm in the house.
There was a large folder with instructions for all appliances and information about the area.
The rental price was, in our view, very reasonable.
We would happily stay there again.

Excellent property to base a holiday
We have had a brilliant week at Briar Rose, helped along by fantastic weather. The bungalow was immaculately clean (much appreciated in the current climate) and covid procedures were very well thought out and reassuring. It is very well equipped, WiFi works well and good TV reception. Briar Rose is very handy for the motorway and A19, making all attractions very easily accessed. A trip to Beamish is a must - but be aware that many attractions get booked up in advance very quickly (especially National Trust and Beamish). Also had a good day out at the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust. The garden is well maintained and the patio is quite a sun trap (when it shines). Would highly recommend.

Relaxing stay at the bungalow
I needed to rent a place while my house was being refurnished.
The bunglow was extremely comfortable and relaxing. It exceeded all my expectations. All requirements needed were available.
A lovely place to stay and I can highly recommend it to anyone needing to rent a property.
I needed to extend my stay and that was no problem.
The owner was more than helpful throughout my stay.

Amazing place to stay
The bungalow was a great place to stay. It was warm and had everything and more that any guest would need. The little extra additions, like milk, bread, butter biscuits, cereal was very generous.
It was perfectly located for everything I wanted to do and only three miles from a great choice of shops.

Excellent Comfortable Bungalow!
We stayed from 16th to 23rd August...and very much enjoyed our visit.
The Bungalow is above and beyond regarding cleanliness and comfort, with everything you need. Lots to do and places to visit. We had good weather overall, and the sheltered patio made for a lovely sun trap!
Thank you very much to Ray and to Housekeeper Denise.

beautiful bungalow which was exceptionally clean and well furnished
Great location for mum and I to visit the county, easy to get to Durham and the coast including some lovely days spent at South Shields, Tynemouth and Whitley Bay.
Lovely to have a proper home to come back to at the end of each day and spent our late afternoons sitting peacefully in the garden.
