The pictures do not do the cottage justice, it is so cosy and well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable and relaxed break. Elaine was so welcoming, we felt right at home from the first minute, and the Welsh Cakes were a lovely touch. We will be back, as it's perfectly located for the Forest of Dean and...

The village of Woolaston has a charming country pub, a restaurant and a village shop and Post Office all within walking distance of the cottage. Supermarkets and other shops are within a 10 minute drive.<BR><BR>Many footpaths are easily accessible from the cottage, and the Gloucestershire Way and Offas Dyke are 10 minutes away. The Sculpture Trail at Speech House is also nearby. <BR><BR>There is fantastic mountain biking in the Forest of Dean as well as family cycle trails. Although a car is advised to appreciate all that this area has to offer, it is not essential. There are plenty of walks directly from the cottage, there is a shop, pub and restaurant all within walking distance and transport links to the nearest towns are possible by a local bus service.<BR><BR>We are happy to provide transport to and from the train stations at Chepstow or Lydney.
