It is an old Canarian house of 120m², built in the middle of the 19th century and restored preserving the style and type of this area of the island. The house has wonderful view over the entire coastline of Fasnia and Arico and I located in a very quiet place.
For its reconstruction, volcanic tuff was used, it is characteristic of the “Bandas del Sud” and which are popularly known as “tosca or jable” (extracted from the same place), and the morphology and the original materials were kept.
The name of the holiday cottage “Las Vigas” (beams) corresponds to the place where it is located, which brings us back to the time of logging of forests wood for the production of beams for the construction of houses and buildings after the conquest of the Canary Islands.

The holiday cottage Las Vigas has all the amenities needed and is located in a recently certified farm in organic farming by the Government of the Canary Islands, where traditional Canarian fruit trees, vineyards and olive trees are now growing.
At the same time it has been linked to the network of trails in the area, creating a network of itineraries linked to the culture of “jable”( volcanic sand which covers certain crops to conserve soil moisture) and water in the area.More
The holiday cottage Las Vigas is located in the municipality of Arico on the southeast of Tenerife.
The house is at about 165m in altitude above the sea level and in an agricultural area called La Florida and Chajaña.
Only 7km away, you will find the beaches of Las Eras and Los Roques.
The building and the rest of the estate were abandoned for more than 40 years, until it was bought and renovated in 2006 by the new owners.
It is a building with a series of traditional patios and several caves which have been adapted into relaxing and recreational areas.
