Holiday Rental House
Villa Vrboska is a charming and delightfully renovated old stone cottage set in the quaint alleyways of Vrboska old town, close by the Fortress Church of St Mary and just 50m from the harbour and the elegant promenade along by the sea, lined with restaurants and cafes. The house is several hundred years old and the owner renovated it 15 years ago to preserve its original features, old stone interior walls and wooden beams. Yet ensuring that all modern conveniences are available for a comfortable stay. Entrance to the house is from a cobbled pedestrian alleyway but you can park your car just 20m away beside the church and walk to the house. From the front door you enter into the open plan living dining room with its lovely antique furniture. Off here is a large fully fitted kitchen. A door from the living area opens out onto the spacious terrace and garden area. Meals can be enjoyed outside at the large dining table where a canopy provides shade. At the side of the terrace is a covered summer kitchen with 6 ring hob - 4 gas and 2 electric rings and a small table for 4. So you can enjoy preparing meals al fresco and grilling on the charcoal BBQ. Back in the house stairs lead to the upper floor where there are 2 double bedrooms and 1 bedroom with 2 bunk beds and a single bed that are suitable for children. Upstairs there is also a shower room with a basin, bidet and WC. The upper floor can also be reached from outside stairs that go to the balcony on this floor. The large bathroom with bath and shower over it, basin, bidet and WC is on the ground floor off the living area. The house is fully air conditioned with AC units in the living/dining room and each of the bedrooms. The beaches are all set away from the town and have crystal clear water. Popular beaches are Soline, Maslinica and Zečevo Island. Soline has bar and restaurant facilities and is a 1km walk through the pine trees from the village or can be accessed by car. It has many beautiful pebble coves on the southern side and the northern side is a good area for windsurfing and kayaking. Maslinica bay consists of flat rocks and pebble beaches, set in a secluded bay 800 m from the centre of town. Zečevo is a small nearby island with nudist beach that can be reached by boat. There are also many good swimming areas along the coast between Vrboska and Jelsa, just 10-30 minutes away.More

About the neighbourhood
Vrboska was built in the 15th Century and the neighbouring Fortress Church dates from the 1500s so a stay here will truly make you feel like you have stepped back in time. It is an elegant yet small town where you can enjoy a peaceful and quiet holiday whilst also soaking in the sailing vibe as it is popular with sailors being set on a deep inland bay. A series of bridges connect the 2 sides of the bay which gives the harbour a unique feel, often referred to as Little Venice.
Getting around
The nearest grocery shop is 100m away. The nearest restaurant 50m. The nearest café bar 50m. Whilst a car is not needed for your stay as you can get around Vrboska by foot, we recommend one so you can enjoy Hvar island which has many beautiful towns and villages worth visiting, and so you can explore the beaches that are further from the town centre. There are places to rent cars, scooters, bikes and boats in Vrboska itself as well as the neighbouring town of Jelsa, which is just a 45 minute walk away along the scenic coast road.
