Before we turned it into a 55 m2 two-storey studio, auntie used this place as a granary and a stable. On the ground floor there is a big multi-room, which includes a kitchen bench (kitchenette and mini fridge), a bathroom and two single beds. A wooden staircase leads up to the loft on the second floor, which covers the half of the ground floor, and has a double bed. Although when standing at the small bedroom balcony you can gaze at the sea, Aunties' House strong spot is by far its yard. Chez longs under a thick tree shadow turn the yard into the perfect place to be in during the warm summer days. Cleaning cost is optional at 10euro/once a week and it includes freshening up the room and changing the linens. Different aggreement can be arranged. Parking is about 200 metres away, and the road is a typical village road, narrow and bumpy at some points, but all in all it's a straight line from your car to the house. In any case please consider all the people in your party before booking. This village was built for walking... Cars are found only in the central square and the peripheral road. Volissos Volissos, situated in the west part of Chios, the less developed part, is ideal for touring the island. The village is amphitheatrically built on a hill, with the ruins of a Genovese Medieval fortress on the top. The view of the Aegean Sea is beautiful and the plain underneath the village is a complex of small stone houses and fields full of olive and citrus trees.Volissos is a small village, where one can find basic infrastructure and services: post office, a small medical center, a pharmacy, police department, hairdressers, several restaurants, taverns, cafes, mini-markets, butcher and an old bakery where you can have your daily fresh-baked bread. The 6km beach of Managros, the beaches of Lefkathia and Limnos are about 2km away, but along the west coast one can find numerous beaches to choose from, making it always easy –even in August - to find a quiet place to enjoy the sea.As far as transportation is concerned, upon arrival by sea or by plane to Chios, one can get the public bus and come to Volissos. From Chios to Volissos, every Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 5.00 and at 14.00. From Volissos to Chios, every Monday-Wednesday-Friday at 8.00 and at 17.15 /and Sunday at 17.00. However, this schedule should always be verified [ktelchios.gr].More
