The apartment was fantastic having been very recently refurbished. all the appliances and equipment in the kitchen were new. Every room has a small control panel which operates the lights/shutters/air-con which was a nice touch. Pool was always kept clean, gardeners visited twice while we...More

Barranco das Belharucas Beach
It is recommended to walk to the Beach as there is no vehicle road or car parking on the Beach.
To get to the Beach you can go through a sidewalk or cross a winding track with an exuberant vegetation. Many birds take advantage of this forest area and some build shelters and nests in the rocky walls. That is the case of the colourful Bee-eater (Abelharuco in Portuguese) that gave the name to this Beach.
The sandy area is wide and goes until the Falésia Beach.
