Mulsanne House is a large, four double bedroomed property, built in 2000 in traditional Georgian style. Everything about this property is to a high standard as evidenced by its Trip Advisor 'Certificate of Excellence' award. It can be used for family gatherings, ladies' weekends, a business person's alternative to a hotel or for a group of couples to escape and relax. The make-up of the bedrooms is flexible so you may have various combinations of single, double and super king size beds. It can sleep eight comfortably and there is always plenty of hot water. Highly insulated so warm in winter, cool in summer. The bedrooms are as follows: Two ensuite double rooms with the option of single or double beds (zip and link), another bedroom also with zip and link beds and one double room. We can make up the rooms to suit your requirements. The house is not set up specifically for children but we can provide a cot and high chair free of charge if booked in advance. As well as the two ensuites and a downstairs cloakroom, there is a family bathroom. The property is finished to a high standard throughout and is private and quiet. The lounge has LED HD 40' TV and gas coal effect fire, with two large quality sofas and a couple of easy chairs. There is a superb French country style kitchen and dining area as well as a study, utility room, downstairs cloakroom and separate formal dining room. Plenty of secure parking and a bus stop on the road outside to get you into Bath in a few minutes. You may hire our Karaoke system for £20 for the duration of your stay, which is always very popular with larger groups. We also provide a comprehensive, up to date information pack with many tips and recommendations to enable you to make the most of your stay. One of the best pubs in the area is a short walk and from there you can catch the river bus into town from April to October- a real treat! A little further is the towpath along the nearby canal which can take you into Bath or out into the beautiful countryside. There is also a footpath from the bottom of Batheaston, alongside the river Avon for another nice walk. We also have a 1 bed luxury cottage for a couple called the Saltings (174775) and a pair of 2 bed cottages next to each other, the Old Workshop, (252945) and the Coach House (461116) which groups may rent in conjunction with the main house. See our other listings. So in the same courtyard, we can accommodate groups of up to 18 people, plus another 5 in our latest property, the Old Sweet Shop, just a few yards away on the High Street. The back garden of Mulsanne is adjacent to that of the Old Sweet Shop (9140042) and can be accessed when both properties are booked by the same group. Whilst the property is built in traditional Georgian style from the beautiful Bath stone mined in the area, it offers all the latest conveniences and comfort. A very high level of insulation means you will be warm in winter and cool in summer. As this was our family home, it had everything we needed and we have left it virtually intact. So you will benefit from lots of small touches like Egyptian cotton bedding and fluffy Turkish cotton towels. We make every effort to ensure you will have a very relaxing and comfortable break. The kitchen, built by craftsmen formerly employed by Mark Wilkinson furniture, is fully equipped with everything you need to conjure up a cordon bleu special. The kitchen has a double belfast sink and filtered drinking water. There are plenty of entertainment options if Bath has exhausted you. The HD TV with surround sound, Hi Fi system, plus DVDs, games and our huge CD collection are all at your disposal. Plus you can hire our Karaoke system for just £20 for your whole stay. The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room, as does one of the other bedrooms. There is also a communal bathroom and a downstairs cloakroom. The 'combi' boiler produces unlimited hot water and all the water is softened, so you can have lots of bubbles in the bath!

About the neighbourhood
For those who know the City, there is no surprise to learn Bath has been the UK's 'pleasure drome' for almost 2000 years. It's certainly living up to that and first time visitors will be blown away by the variety and amount of things to do, see, hear, taste and smell. A typical reaction from a first time visitor is the regret they were not staying for much, much longer and that they will be back for at least a week next time. Bath is a World Heritage tourist destination, its history dating back to pre Roman times. The first King of England was crowned here! Renowned Georgian architecture rivalling that of Paris, Venice or Rome has been enhanced in recent years with the addition of the £45+million Thermae Bath Spa and the Southgate shopping area, creating perhaps the UK's premier shopping ...
Getting around
We are very lucky to have excellent transport links of all kinds, especially the bus stop on the road outsidse the courtyard. Guests find this the most convenient way to access the City, bypassing much of the trafiic with bus lanes. On average it takes about 10 minutes to the City. Most guests leave their cars in our car park and use the bus for the duration of their stay. But perhaps the most popular way to access the City is by water! Just 10 minutes walk from the property is the Bathampton Mill where you may catch one of a number of river buses into the City from March to Oct. It is a beautiful way to see Bath from another angle. Return to Batheaston by bus. For those arriving by train, a taxi will bring you to us for less than £10
