The Coach House, Bath. 2 bed cottage with stunning views and private parking

Holiday Rental House -
2 Bedrooms , 2 Bathrooms , Sleeps 4
Batheaston, Bath, Somerset, England
The Coach House is a luxury two bed cottage in a private courtyard on the edge of Bath. Just like our other properties, the Saltings (174775), the Old Workshop (252945) and Mulsanne House (274673), the Coach House is finished to a very high standard, ideal for a romantic get-away, a relaxing break or a base for all the many sights of the area. The accommodation is flexible, so the property is suitable and cost effective for between one and four people. Amongst the many compliments from our last English Tourist Board inspection were, 'outstanding levels of housekeeping were demonstrated'. But our many 5 star testimonials from our guests speak for themselves.

One of the main attractions of the Coach House are the stunning views at the rear of the river Avon and the beautiful hills surrounding Bath. John and Jane's efforts with...

Super transport links into Bath. Lovely river trip. All in all a great Base. Was very warm in double bedroom. Would have preferred a window that opened. A garden would have made this almost perfect. ( I realise that a garden is impossible at this...More

Thanks Rhona. Glad you enjoyed it overall. As you saw there is no space for a garden as such though we have the nice car parking area by the oak tree with plant, flowers and lighting . It was particularly warm when you came. Normally...More

This is a late post, we stayed in 2015. Really enjoyed our stay, the Coach House was very secure and modern interior. We walked into Bath centre each day (about 20-30 mins) and was an easy walk. The more picturesque walk along the canal was...More

About the neighbourhood
Bath is a World Heritage tourist destination, its history dating back to pre Roman times. It is now acknowledged as the second most popular tourist destination in England and the 4th most popular in the UK.

Renowned Georgian architecture rivalling that of Paris, Venice or Rome has been enhanced in recent years with the addition of the £45+million Thermae Bath Spa, Britain's only natural thermal spa, featuring the natural mineral waters which first attracted the Romans, who named Bath, Aquae Sulis. Thermaebathspaoffers every kind of luxury pampering experience, including the open air roof top hot bath, which is not to be missed.

But it's not just about history and architecture.

Bath has some of the best shopping, eating and drinking experiences to be had.

Getting around
We are very lucky to have excellent transport links of all kinds, especially the bus stop on the road outsidse the courtyard.

Guests find this the most convenient way to access the City, bypassing much of the trafiic with bus lanes. On average it takes about 10 minutes to the City. Most guests leave their cars in our car park and use the bus for the duration of their stay.

But perhaps the most popular way to access the City is by water! Just 10 minutes walk from the property is the Bathampton Mill where you may catch one of a number of river buses into the City from March to Oct. It is a beautiful way to see Bath from another angle. Return to Batheaston by bus.

For those arriving by train, a taxi will bring you to us for less than £10

Tucked into the corner of a listed building with origins in the 16th century, The Coach House is accessed through a courtyard just off the High Street in the village of Batheaston, one of the small suburbs of the famous historic City of Bath.

Access by road is very simple. We are about half a mile from the main roundabout intersection of the A46 onto the London Road going into Bath.

There is a secure car parking space for 2 medium size cars immediately in front of the Coach House, whilst the bus stop, with regular services to and from the City, is immediately in front of the main building on the High Street. Typical journey time by bus or car is 10 minutes.

You can also walk or cycle, the towpath along the canal being a particularly attractive route. A really lovely way to access the Ci...
