Cottage
Both the main building and the luxurious combined beach sauna and outdoor kitchen are suitable for year-round use and enjoyment. The beach and garden of Kiviniemi are well suited for children, and there is also a sandbox near the terrace.
The main cottage of Kiviniemi was built in 1997 and refurbished in 2010. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. The sofa bed in the living room can easily provide a bed for two more persons. The open kitchen and washroom are well equipped. The main cottage has an electric sauna.
The luxurious beach sauna and outdoor kitchen building, which was completed in 2013, features a wood sauna and a dressing room with a shower booth. Thanks to its low-emissivity windows and underfloor heating, the outdoor kitchen is also suited for year-round use, and ...

Lovely stay on a quiet lake.
Conveniently located and easy to get to, Cottage Kiviniemi, was a perfect getaway. The lake has just cleared of ice allowing the swans, loons, ducks, and otters to play. The wood-burning sauna was absolutely perfect so we took lots of saunas during our stay.
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay. Plenty of pots and pans for all our cooking, plus a great outdoor grill.
Pasi, our host, made sure we had everything we needed, including extra firewood. He was also a good local guide for our brief adventure in mushroom picking.

Отличный летний отдых
Коттедж Кивиниеми - замечательное тихое уединенное место на самом берегу красивого рыбного озера Соуккио. Отдыхали в августе 2016 года. Погода стояла летняя, купались в озере с утра до ночи. Рядом с коттеджем небольшой пляж, прямо с которого в маленькой заводи ловили огромных лещей (почему-то настоящий клёв был ближе к ночи). Там же классная коптильня. Вначале можно коптить рыбу, а потом использовать те же угли для приготовления гриля. Конечно же катались на лодке и рыбачили с нее. Грибы собирали в основном вокруг коттеджа, в окрестных лесах почему-то их было немного. Удобная новая отдельно стоящая баня с большой столовой и открытой террасой, сидя на которой можно любоваться очень красивыми и необычными закатами. На озере живут лебеди и утки. Очень трогательно наблюдать их семейные прогулки. Прекрасное место для всех, кто хочет расслабиться и отдохнуть от городской суеты. Ну и конечно же огромный плюс этого места - замечательные хозяева Паси и Йенни. Обязательно вернемся еще!!! Анастасии благодарность за помощь во всех вопросах!

Провели великолепные новогодние каникулы в прекрасном райском уголке- буквально эдэм. Чистый воздух, тишина, уединение, прекрасный ландшафт и все это на фоне комфортного коттеджа. Прекрасные условия для отдыха. Обязательно приедем в этот коттедж снова. Большое спасибо за приём хозяевам коттеджа и внимательной и отзывчивой Анастасии за помощь в решении возникающих вопросов.

Wat een fantastische reis!!!
Wij verbleven gedurende een week aan de prachtige meren in de fantastische Finse natuur,
omringt door de stilte en genietende van de uitstekende accommodatie van de cottage dewelke gezellig, erg netjes en zeer goed uitgerust is. Een ideaal scenario voor iedereen die van rust en natuur houdt. Een uitstekende locatie voor iedere wandelaar of sportvisser.
We willen ook zeker Jenni en haar man bedanken voor de onovertroffen ontvangst en goede zorgen tijdens ons verblijf. Het zijn warme, vriendelijke mensen die bij elke vraag klein of groot voor je klaar staan. Het staat voor ons nu al vast dat we er in de toekomst nog zullen terug keren.

An amazing New Year getaway
We stayed in Kiviniemi cottage between 29 December 2015 - 02 January 2016 with a group of friends. The cottage is situated in a stunningly beautiful spot, surrounded by a lake and a gorgeous pine forest. The location is very secluded, feels like there is literally no one around for miles. It is a perfect spot for a relaxed holiday. The surrounding scenery is incredible. The cottage itself is a pretty chalet-style log cabin, with two bedrooms and a living room with a fireplace. The rooms are nice and comfortable, albeit rather small. The fireplace gives the living room a very cozy feel. Since it was rather cold, we used it all the time and didn't have any issues with it. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you can possibly need. There is also an electrical sauna inside the cottage, everyone was very happy with it. Perfect for cold days. The living space is not very vast, I'd say that this cottage is ideal for four people, we were five adults and a kid, and all in all, we had enough space, but the sofa in the living room is not super comfortable. Additionally, there is a separate guest house down by the lake, which has beautiful panoramic windows and another sauna, plus a small kitchen and a sofa. It must be amazing to spend time there during summertime, but during winter we didn't use it at all, though it was very warm, comfortable and beautiful.
The cottage was very clean, the owners of the cottage - Jenni and Pasi - were super helpful and accommodated our every request. Jenni explained everything in detail and was always there to help with additional questions (we called a few times during our stay, and Jenni always replied and helped us straight away). Thanks a lot for your hospitality and all of your help!
Please note that since the cottage is in a pretty distant location, the internet doesn't always work well, so if you want to watch something, bring flash drives with films. we were able to watch stuff online, but wi-fi was not always working okay. This is a normal thing for 3G wi-fi, so just be prepared.
The satellite TV has about 500 channels, lots of channels in German and English, 2-3 Russian channels.
All in all, we enjoyed our stay immensely and would definitely come back again! The area must be absolutely gorgeous during the summer, but during winter is is also charming and amazingly beautiful. If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway with family or friends and nothing but stunning scenery around, Kiviniemi is definitely a place to go.

The perfect place to while away the endless summer days in Finland.
Our short stay at Rock and Lakes' Kotiranta Cottage was everything we expected from a traditional Finnish lakeside cottage. Privacy, comfort, peace and the space to relax and disconnect ourselves from the hustle and bustle of our regular lives.
In saying that, there were plenty of activities to keep us busy. Including taking a row boat out onto the lake, fishing, hiking, swimming and our most favourite activity of all, indulging in our very own private sauna.
We also arranged a 'Fishing Under the Midnight Sun' trip, which was the absolute highlight of our stay. It was memorable not only for being the most successful fishing trip we've ever had, but also for the spectacular lakeland scenery we witnessed. Our local fishing guide, Saku, was very knowledgable, professional and an absolute pleasure to chat with. At no stage during the 4-5hr trip were we bored. We could not recommend him highly enough.

Nice summer cottage in Finland Kangasniemi
Our family (parents, 2 teenagers and 1 dog) stayed at Kiviniemi cottage at Rock And Lake for one week in June 2015. We also rented old fashioned bathing tub and electricity outboard motor for the boat. Weather was typical Finnish summer, raining and occasionally sun shining but we had really nice time. Location is so quiet and peaceful, lake is beautiful, cottage had two saunas, this place you can really forget work and have lazy holiday! Owners are very helpful and friendly, thank you so much!

Отдыхали семьей в коттедже Kiviniemi в июне 2014г. Обычно отзывов не оставляла, но тут даже захотелось! До этого не раз были в Финляндии в коттеджах и на рыбалке, но эти ребята просто поразили своим радушием , отзывчивостью и all inclusive. Коттедж новенький, как рассказал хозяин - всего год назад построили. Две спальни, гостиная, кухня, сан.блок. Всё чистенько, аккуратненько, на кухне есть всё изобилие посуды и необходимой утвари и всяких специй. Баня стоит отдельно, там еще одна кухня, камин и раскладывающийся диван. Дров много, всё уже включено в стоимость. Также есть спец. приспособление и спец.место для чистки рыбы. Также есть отличная коптилка дровяная. Кстати лодка тоже включена в стоимость!
Теперь о рыбалке - рыбы много и разнообразной: форель, щука, язь, окунь, плотка, подлещики. За 5 дней наловили столько, что объелись и еще осталось!
Все коттеджи у них построены на расстоянии, так что полное ощущение единения с природой в лесу на березу озера! класс и супер! приедем еще раз обязательно!

Finnish road network is in very good condition and traffic is moderate. Renting a car would be a great choice to get here. More than 100 kilometers of the highway from Helsinki-Vantaa airport has 120km per hour speed limit during summer season. Most of the rest is 100 km per hour speed limit. In winter time the speed limits vary between 80 and 100 km per hour. You won't be wasting your holiday time being stuck in traffic jam.
