About the neighbourhood
The Lizard peninsula has many sites of outstanding beauty and interest, including Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe Cove, Lizard Point (the most southerly point in England), Church Cove, Loe Bar, Kennack Sands, Cadgwith Cove, Mullion Cove, Helford River and Gweek (seal sanctuary).  The Lizard is also unique in terms of its geology; the rock formations at Coverack and Kennack attract great interest whilst the world-famous Serpentine rock serves as a memento for many visitors. Helston, famous for its Floral Dance is the nearest town offering all amenities. The cathedral city of Truro and the towns of Penzance, Falmouth, Porthleven and Praa Sands are within easy reach, as are Land's End and St Michael's Mount.
Getting around
'Tideswell' and the surrounding area offers guests a wide range of activities. The Headland has its own tennis court. Local facilities exist for a variety of water-sports including swimming, wind-surfing, canoeing, sailing and fishing.  Walkers and joggers are served by the adjacent S W Coast Path. Cyclists have a wide variety of coastal and rural routes to explore. Horse riding is available nearby. Golfers are welcome at Mullion Golf Club, which boasts a championship course.
