LOCATION
The villa is located at the end of a 200 metre lane which means it is very peaceful and safe for children. It is situated in a beautiful, peaceful part of the Dordogne, close to Bergerac and surrounded by vineyards, plum orchards and woodlands, perfect for a relaxing holiday. The villa overlooks Chateau Vigiers Golf course with a Michelin Star restaurant and spa. Our guests receive a generous reduction of 30% on golf rounds.
It is easy to reach by either driving or flying. It is an easy 6 hour drive from St Malo or Caen and only 20 minutes from Bergerac airport or 90 minutes from Bordeaux airport.
HEATED POOL WITH RETRACTABLE COVER
Guests love the stunning heated pool with super views. The pool has the sun all day and is also a wonderful place to enjoy the sun sets. There are plenty of sunloungers under large sun shades. For poolside dining guests have the choice of a huge Kettler dining table with lots of chairs as well as a smaller Kettler table and chairs next to the glass balastrade.
The pool also benefits from a retractable cover which is very easy to use. It has the benefit of keeping the water as warm as possible meaning guests can swim in any weather conditions and at night.
Visiting families with younger children will enjoy the Wendy House, sand pit and Little Tikes play area which we will place here for their arrival. There are lovely views from the pool terrace over the Lower Garden and also across woodlands and the golf course. The pool is open and warm from Easter until mid November.
LARGE JACUZZI
The jacuzzi is located on the deck in front of The Barn and has wonderful views across the valley. Guests can enjoy it at any time of the day and it is quite special to watch the stars light up the sky, whilst sipping a glass of wine.
The decked area in front of The Barn also has a large Day Bed for total relaxation as well as dining table and chairs.
Complimentary for school holiday weeks and for holidays of two weeks or more. Outside of these times the rental is £250 pw.
BEDROOMS
All 6 bedrooms have air-conditioning which is essential for a good nights sleep in the warmer months and the villa is one of very few Dordogne holiday villas to have this.
The Farmhouse has 4 Bedrooms
All 4 Farmhouse bedrooms are en suite with hairdryers, heated towel rails, large walk in showers, Grohe sanitary ware, shaver sockets and mirrors, tea and coffee facilities, luxury Bedeck bedding and towels including pool towels, flat screen tvs, UK adaptors
There are 2 ground floor bedrooms
The Lavender Suite has beautiful views and direct access to the large balcony which has a glass balustrade so as not to interrupt the lovely views. It also has views over the pool area with an en suite shower room, a super king bed with memory foam mattress and a relaxing sofa which can convert to a single bed
The Yellow Suite has a large en suite bathroom with original cast iron bath and a super king bed which can convert to twin beds if required.
There are 2 first floor bedrooms, both with views over the countryside;
The Rose Suite has an en suite shower room, a super king bed and a relaxing sofa which can convert to a single bed
The Green Suite has an en suite shower room, and a choice of a super king bed or twin beds.
The adjoining Barn has 2 Bedrooms
There is a Master bedroom with super king bed plus a twin bedroom. These two rooms share a luxury bathroom with double ended Sotttini bath and wash basin with marble top.
The barn has super views over orchards, vines and the golf course.
LARGE GARDENS AND GROUNDS
There are extensive grounds to enjoy with space for everyone. Lots of thought has gone into proving numerous areas for guests to sit and relax in, together with high quality seating and cushions.
The Upper Garden is a one acre space with the pool area, the circular enclosed driveway and a huge garden with a super size trampoline with enclosure and steps. There is a seating area at the far end of this Upper Garden with views over the golf course and towards the large field where donkeys can sometimes be seen.
The Lower Garden is a peaceful area with a seating area around a covered well for al fresco dining and sun downers. Relax with a book in the two swinging hammocks or enjoy a game of table tennis here too.

Interaction with guests: I live in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England but visit both La Grange and Acabanes our second villa 10 minutes away often to ensure the standards are maintained. I will post your key to you two weeks before your holiday. There is a comprehensive Guest Area on the website which has lots of useful information for guests but I am always available for our guests by email, text or mobile for any advice or assistance.
We also have caretakers who we have known for many years who are helpful to our guests.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Barn (which is attached to Le Grange). It has been beautifully renovated and was perfect for us. Particularly loved the kitchen which had everything we needed! The terrace has a great view over Vigiers golf course and was a very peaceful place to relax, we even saw some deer out in the early evening. Tracey was a great host, helping us to make the most of local vineyards and restaurants as well as advice on what to do on a day out to Saint Emilion. Her recommendations on what to do in the area made all the difference for our stay. The Barn is in a lovely rural location and we enjoyed walking in the area, there’s a particularly scenic circuit to a local winery (Chateau Lestevenie). Can’t recommend highly enough.

Wonderful Week In Idyllic Setting
We have visited La Grange on several occasions but this time it was as part of a group of ten. Everything was perfect as always and we welcomed the addition of the air fryers. Our hosts helped to organise wine tasting at St Emillion and a private chef as there were some big birthdays to celebrate. Nothing was too much trouble. We were blessed with great weather which meant we could enjoy the pool and the facilities at the house. A wonderful relaxing week.

Excellent organisation ensured an excellent holiday for 10 adults
Tracey and her team did a fantastic job organising our holiday to ensure we all had a great time. The day trip to Saint-Emilion was excellent with a tour of the Chateau Guadet, lovely lunch and further wine tasting all sorted for us. We also had a chef on our last evening so we could all truly celebrate. The house itself is in an excellent position right on the golf course (you can walk to the club house if feeling energetic) but you do need a car to get to the supermarket (although Tracey had kindly sorted a food order for our first night as our flight didn't land until 5.00). We were lucky with the weather so could eat outside each night (it would have been a bit of a squeeze inside for 10 adults) and plenty of room around the pool with sun and shade. All in all an excellent holiday - hope to return!

Fantastic place.
We’ve been to La Grange three times now. Tracey, the owner, has been fabulous each time, offering really helpful local advice, including when our dog nearly died after a dietary indiscretion and needed an emergency vet. The house is beautifully furnished, with everything you need. The pool area is wonderful, overlooking a golf course. There’s nothing nicer (as a non-golfer) than sipping a glass of rosé while watching someone thrashing the sand out of a bunker while going redder and redder. You can even saunter over the golf course (is that dangerous??) to the Michelin star restaurant in Chateau des Vigiers. In fact, they have TWO Michelin starred restaurants there. Then you can amble back, far more confidently than on the outward journey. On rainy days, you can visit local towns like Sarlat and Eymet, and there’s a street market somewhere pretty much every day. If you go (which you really should) you must try the Famille Moutier restaurant about three miles away. You may want to consider walking, or taking the well-maintained bikes from the shed. Lunch is a three hour affair, with a really good set menu, and the patron keeps bringing bottles of wine to the table, all inclusive for 45 euros a head.
Each time we’ve been, Tracey has made the whole thing a breeze. She values the holiday time of her guests and goes out of her way to ensure everything is smooth and stress-free.
We’ll definitely be back.

The perfect location for a pet friendly holiday in the Dordogne
We have stayed at Tracey’s properties several times over the past ten years, either La Grange Sud or their other property Acabanes. Both houses are beautifully presented and incredibly well equipped, whether you are a large family group with children or just a couple looking for apace to relax. We are just a couple who travel with two dogs, but appreciate the space and quality accommodation available at both properties.
La Grange Sud is a lovely old farmhouse, located in a privileged position overlooking Chateau Vigier golf course. The secure gardens are spacious and very well kept, with plenty of room for energetic dogs to run around. The heated swimming pool is an added bonus, as are the quality bicycles which are free to use and provide the opportunity to wander through the quiet local lanes. Inside, the house is fantastically equipped, especially the kitchen where you will find everything you need to prepare meals irrespective of the size of your group. Comfortable lounge furniture and quality bedding add the the luxurious feel of the property, and the cherry on the cake is sitting in the jacuzzi after dark viewing a fantastic night sky. Tracey is a delight to deal with and we hope to return next year, and for many years to come.

Would love to revisit for family vacation
This must be our 4th visit but since the last the villa has been extended with the imaginative refurbishment of an adjoining barn to a very high standard which increases the size to accommodate a larger grouping. I love the location with terracing overlooking several holes on the Chateau Vigier Golf Complex. On this short break the improvement in the weather encouraged several of our party to play golf. Happily the owners provide a generous selection of golf clubs (I chose Callaway Big Bertha Graphite Shafted) and the course was in terrific condition. We enjoyed several memorable meals (Madame Mouttiere - 5 or 6 courses with accompanying wine for €38 being the most notable) Also managed a visit to St Emilion which was brilliant. Weather was brilliant and returned for a swim and chill out in the pool. Another tremendous visit - we will return.

5 Star quality, family friendly, home from home.
Extremely comfortable property with every amenity you could wish for. Luxurious bedrooms with great attention to detail. Family friendly pool and sports areas with fantastic views of the golf course and surrounding countryside. They even provided bikes and golf clubs! Set in gorgeous, tranquil French countryside with quaint villages to visit and of course wonderful wine tasting in the local vineyards. We will be back, many times!

Views of the Golf Course
We visit France annually and discovered Luxury Dordogne Villas a few years ago and am so pleased as I don’t want to stay anywhere else now, they have everything we need for a great holiday.
This year we stayed in La Grange for our first week and then we moved to Acabanes for our second week.
La Grange is such a relaxing place to have a holiday, with a heated pool and amazing views. We particularly like staying here as we enjoy golf and Tracey has arranged a large discount on rounds at Chateau Vigiers. We fly to France from South Africa and La Grange has all the golf equipment we need which means we don’t need to bring anything we us, a huge bonus.
Looking forward to returning next year!

We are regular guests here, returning year after year, taking friends or family with us also.La Grange is a lovely farmhouse, in a superb location and guests every need has been thought of, whatever age.A new lower garden has been created over the winter months,lovely area to relax and enjoy a glass of wine. Website is comprehensive and informative, Tracey is extremely helpful and will book you wine tastings etc. She has also negotiated a reduced rate for golfers at neighbouring Chateau de Vigiers.If you fancy an out of season visit La Grange is very comfortable with plenty to keep,my our occupied. Heated pool is great also.Highly recommended

Beautiful location over looking Chateau Vigiers golf course, which also has a Michelin Star restaurant as well as a brasserie and is only a very short walk away.
Lots of wildlife in the area.

Nearest town is St Foy la Grande where the Saturday morning market is famous.
30 minute drive to St Emilion, a world heritage UNESCO site famous for some of the best wines in the world
Good area for cycling, dog walking and bird spotting on quiet lanes and through the vines.

Getting around
St Foy la Grande is a 5 minute drive and has a train station. From here you can board trains to Bordeaux and Bergerac.
