Casa Cruz is an idyllic property set among olive groves in rural Andalucia. It’s about an hour from Malaga and 10 minutes from Iznajar and its beautiful lake. There is a large and smaller house available that surrounds a large pool, BBQ and a jacuzzi. The place is extremely well equipped with absolutely everything you could need. Dave and Al are great hosts, very kind and always available by text and will answer any questions. I can’t wait to return.

Perfect Stay for our Mini-Moon
We stayed here for 5 nights for our Mini-moon, early Sept 2019. We honestly had the most amazing time. It was the perfect break that we needed after our wedding.
Beautiful location, stunning and well equip villa's, Pool side is super clean with everything that you need.
Prior, during and after our stay the hosts we fabulous, nothing was any trouble. Very welcoming, gave recommendations of local places to to visit and both were very knowledgeable.
We will be visiting again for sure, maybe with a bigger group to stay in both villas :)
Would 100% recommend to anyone. FIVE STAR FROM US :-)

Great value for money
We visited casa cruz cortijo for 4 nights at the end of August. The facilities were brilliant and we couldn’t have asked for anything more other than wishing we were there for longer!
The pool area was brilliant with the bbq and area to eat as well as its own shower and wc.
Dave and Al were great hosts and could not do enough for us - we’d definitely like to visit again!

Love, love, love this place
So another fantastic time in this fantastic place. Once again looked after so well and enjoyed every single minute. With some lovely little restaurants a small drive away we had some great meals. A private chef experience for third time was fab as always and a game of padel at the local sports Centre was brill.
A day at the Camino del Rey was a brilliant walk with amazing views thoroughly enjoyed it with great photo opportunities.
We have had such a brilliant time and are already planning another trip. This place is fantastic to relax with everything that you need a short drive away.

Our little getaway in the Spanish hills...
Spent two weeks here in Summer 2017 and came back for a week this year.
This is the sort of holiday we like - you can just relax and have a bbq by the pool, or go out and about, nice little towns within close proximity, nice restaurants close at hand.
And with Dave as host, you will not be wanting for lack of attention if you need it.
We will be back again next year.

Always a fantastic time at Casa Cruz
We were lucky enough to be the first people to stay at Casa Cruz when Dave and Al took over. We loved it then and this is our fourth time back and the second this year. This place is lovely and you cannot help but relax from the moment you arrive. My twin 17 year old sons love it and pester straight away to book again. Dave and Al are fantastic and always give ideas on places to visit and eat.
This time a 2 hour horse ride just up the road in Salinas was just fantastic and 2 meals out with the ever popular Antonio’s and our first try of the Italian just up the road which was fab.
I cannot praise this place enough which is why we continue to visit and have already booked again for July next year. If you want a relaxing holiday away from the hustle and bustle of life this is the place for you. With the beach, the mountains and towns all within an easy drive Casa Cruz is just perfect.

If you want a relaxing holiday - Casa Cruz is perfect
If you like a quiet relaxing holiday then Casa Cruz is the perfect place. Casa Cruz lies in the middle of some rugged but eye pleasing terrain.
Casa Cruz maybe considered to be a bit isolated so you do need a car if you are going to travel about the surrounding areas and a visit to Antonios, in the nearest village of Fuente del Conde is to be recommended. We travelled in to Iznajar and the views from the top of the town were breath-taking.
Our hosts, Dave and Alan, were excellent and made us very welcome. The facilities of Casa Cruz are very good, with a magnificent Jacuzzi (I used it almost every day and is to be recommended) a decent sized swimming pool, good quality sun loungers, good shading areas when it gets too hot and facilities to do your own BBQ away from the Casita we stayed in. There is also a decent wi-fi connection.
Although we visited in October, the daytime weather was still hot, so using the swimming pool was a decent way to cool down. As mentioned before, we enjoyed a very relaxing holiday, reading our books, whilst relaxing by the pool and enjoying a few glasses of wine.
The Casita we stayed in was very well presented, very clean and provided an excellent home from home environment. It was great to have a decent bathroom and shower and an extremely comfortable bed. So many times when you go on holiday are these factors lacking but not at Casa Cruz.
Speaking to Dave and Alan, their passion was very evident, especially about the service and facilities they provide. The proof of this was amply demonstrated by the food and drink “Welcome Pack” quantity and quality they provided upon our visit. We have no doubt they will deliver upon their vision and we look forward to seeing that vision materialise when we visit again, hopefully next year.

Best place to relax!
Having the intention of exploring more with our 2nd time here, which we did with a day visit to Granada (Dave and Alan as our tour guides). They walked us up the wonderful cobbled (and VERY steep) narrow streets to the dizzying heights of the city where we could overlook Alhambra, the stunning views of the city and cathedral. So next time (maybe) we will try to get tickets to Alhambra as it looked fascinating from our view.
As for our accommodation - spot-on. The Casita (the smaller of the two villas) is perfect for a couple. Lots of room and everything we needed within it. The nearest Mercadona is in Archidona and is a short drive away which has the best selection of fresh fish and vegetables (and wine!). We made full use of the pool, hot-tub, pool-table and kitchen/eating area. Dave and Al are wonderful hosts and allowed us to stay on longer on our last day (late flight), so we didn't have to rush and were able to soak up the sun even more before we had to leave. The only negative point was having to come home. Looking to plan our next visit very soon!

A little piece of Spanish paradise
It was our first visit to Casa Cruz but I’m pretty sure it will not be our last. We booked 8 nights in the Casita and it was perfect for our needs. In fact it exceeded my expectations. Having been on a number of self catering holidays in the past, I had a certain expectation of the facilities and equipment provided. Dave and Al’s attention to detail ensured my expectations were surpassed by quite a margin. It’s a self catering property with added boutique hotel style finishing touches, from family sized shampoo, conditioner and shower cream, to pool towels, board games and the very generous welcome pack! I wanted for nothing during my stay.
The villa itself is beautifully appointed, with a good quality, very comfortable bed and I noticed a theme to the colour scheme (there’s that attention to detail again) and has a true Spanish feel about it but somehow also feels like a home from home.
The grounds are very well maintained and I very much enjoyed the view from the terrace, overlooking the excellent pool, pool house, barbecue and hot tub to the olive groves beyond. I spent a lot of time in the evenings soaking up that view and the peace and quiet over a glass of wine or two. My daughter really enjoyed the pool, which we almost had completely to ourselves, along with the pool side games etc (not forgetting Tiger and the kittens of course)
Dave and Al are excellent hosts, somehow managing to strike a perfect balance between providing for their guests needs and not being intrusive. They are also extremely good company too! They are very adept at arranging trips, providing transport (incuding airport transfers if you need) and nothing is too much trouble. They were able to arrange a day trip to the beach at Iznajar Lake (also providing us with beach toys to take with us!) a visit to the adventure park of Pindongos, a visit to Howl night at the wolf park together with a couple of meals out. All excellent entertainment.
If you are looking for nightlife and bars and restaurants then this is not the place for you. If you want peace, quiet and rest then I cannot recommend either of the properties at Casa Cruz highly enough!
It turned out to be the perfect holiday for me - just what I needed. I am torn between shouting about this gorgeous place to help Dave and Al’s business and keeping it all to myself as a personal piece of paradise.
Dave & Al - I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for us. I am missing being there so much and I’m going to remember this holiday for a very very long time. I WILL be back - that’s a promise.

2 weeks in paradise...
What a fantastic place! We booked this place for 2 weeks and did want to leave. We found a place to recharge the batteries and the hosts were just fantastic. We were most of the time by the house! But nearby you have small villages and towns to enjoy a day out. Or swim in the lake :)
